The guide's attention was excellent, and since he is from the area, he gave very good explanations of all the places and events that occurred there. It was a very good experience, highly recommended.

For my birthday, I wanted to experience the real Medellín, and this Comuna 13 tour. Our guide, Kevin, was outstanding. He wasn't just a tour guide – he was a storyteller. He walked us through the colorful streets, explaining the meaning behind each mural and sharing the powerful history of how this neighborhood transformed from one of the most dangerous in the world to a vibrant hub of art and hope. His energy was contagious, and he made sure we felt safe and welcomed the entire time. The experience went beyond just graffiti – we got to enjoy a live local coffee show, which was such a cool and tasty way to learn about Colombian coffee culture. And to top it all off, we watched an incredible dance group performance that had everyone clapping and smiling. The talent and joy in this community are truly inspiring. Kevin also knew all the best photo spots and gave us great local recommendations afterward. Comuna 13 is a must-see in Medellín, and Kevin is the guide you want by your side. Kevin was an excellent tour guide. Learning about the history of Medellín and seeing how it transformed from one of the world's most dangerous places into a thriving tourist destination was truly inspiring. Hearing the stories of the families and children who lived through such difficult times was emotional, but it also showed the resilience and strength of the community. This tour gave me a much deeper appreciation for Medellín and its people. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Traveling is about more than just seeing places—it's about learning the history and culture, and this experience was unforgettable. Great fun. Kevin was a perfect guide. Easy to meet up. Clearly a local and really knew everyone and everything in the area. Coffee and chocolate, empanadas, popsicles, we enjoyed it all. Clear explanation of the history of the area.

Kevin was hospitable from beginning to end and I had door to door service. I watched others participate in tours and I promise you it was nothing like the 1:1 I had with Kevin navigating the beaten and off beaten paths of Comuna 13 allowing me a first hand narrative experience of this beautiful and vast community. He also takes the most amazing photos, knows everyone, extends care, knowledge and has ins to the best spots to explore the history and see the community. He is positive but he doesn’t sugar coat the past. He is balanced and you will leave knowing and loving this community just as he does. There is a lot of walking, stairs and steep walkways, so wear comfortable shoes, take breaks as needed and stay hydrated. Prepare to shop as well for art, clothing and trinkets. I would highly recommend Kevin’s tour and services (he offers other experiences too) to others and he will be my premiere guide if I visit again. There were authentic sweet treats along the way and coffee and cocao shop - Cafe Waikao de la 13 - that was absolutely delicious. The price paid was well worth it. Enjoy!
