Der historische Strand, ein nationales Wahrzeichen, war vor der großen Flut die Wall Street des Südens. So viele Menschen versuchten, in den oberen Stockwerken dieser prächtigen Bankgebäude Zuflucht zu suchen, kamen aber leider ums Leben. In dieser schicksalhaften Nacht starben über 10.000 Menschen. Es ist die bis heute größte nationale Katastrophe.
Während wir vor der historischen Eisenbahn stehen, an der über 50.000 Männer mit dem Zug die Bordelle besuchten, untersuchen wir den Geist, der bis heute im Gebäude anhält.
So viele Würdenträger, Soldaten, Politiker und sogar Präsidenten haben eingecheckt … aber einige haben nie ausgecheckt. Auf den Treppenhäusern und in den Fluren ist schreiendes Schluchzen zu hören. Ein Bürgerkriegssoldat marschiert für jedermann sichtbar in der Lobby auf und ab. Ein kleiner Junge spielt im Hotel und soll der Geist eines Kindes sein, das vor dem Hotel überfahren wurde. Ein hilfsbereiter Geist packt sogar für Sie aus!

Rob was great! He is a great public speaker and so knowledgeable. He knew so much! We were hoping to go inside buildings and alleys, but we still had a good time. Maybe bring waters for the guests.

Tour was very lackluster for a Saturday night tour. Tour guide showed up like he just got in from the beach and talked about himself the whole time. Didn’t really know much about the red light district because he had not done the tour in a while. Save your money and do something else.

It is a really fun and interesting tour, you will see and learn different things from the history of the town. It is a one of a kind tour that you'll experience and you won't regret it. A great tour given by a very knowledgeable tour guide. A lot of the "dark" history of early Galveston is there to be learned on this tour.

I lived in Houston my whole life and didn’t know anything about Galveston. We came to Galveston for the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday and she’s a history buff and she truly loved it!
