Unser zentraler Treffpunkt und Abholpunkt! Ein wunderschöner Stadtpark mitten in Downtown Portland.
Wir verlassen die Innenstadt von Portland und fahren entlang des Columbia River nach Osten nach Troutdale, bekannt als das Tor zur Schlucht! Wir werden den wunderschönen Historic Columbia River Highway erreichen, die erste geplante Panoramastraße in den Vereinigten Staaten.
Normalerweise ist unser erster Stopp das Crown Point Vista House. Dieser berühmte Aussichtspunkt befindet sich 733 Fuß über dem Columbia River, auf den Überresten eines Lavaflusses, der vor 14 bis 17 Millionen Jahren durch die Schlucht gefegt ist! Hier finden Sie einen atemberaubenden 180-Grad-Blick auf die Columbia River Gorge und erkunden das Vista House. Das Vista House ist ein kunstvoll gestaltetes Observatorium und Museum. Es ist im National Register of Historic Places aufgeführt.
Vom Vista House aus fahren wir tiefer in die Columbia River National Scenic Area. Unser erster Wasserfall an diesem Tag werden die dramatischen Latourell Falls sein, die sich über eine massive Wand aus säulenartigem Basalt stürzen. Abhängig von der Jahreszeit wird eine kurze Wanderung von einem Viertel Kilometer gemacht, um die Wasserfälle näher zu betrachten.
Der nächste Wasserfall, den wir besuchen werden, sind die berühmten Multnomah Falls. Multnomah Falls ist der zweitgrößte Wasserfall in Oregon und der zweithöchste in der ganzen Nation. Hier können Sie die Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge (eine im Cascadian-Stil erbaute Lodge aus Stein und Holz, die 1925 erbaut wurde) sowie die schönen Multnomah Falls selbst erkunden. Die leicht zugängliche Aussichtsplattform bietet einen vollständigen Blick auf die Benson Bridge und die Wasserfälle fallen dahinter.
Wir werden ungefähr 10 Minuten damit verbringen, dieses übersehene Juwel direkt an der historischen Autobahn zu genießen!
Wir beenden unsere Tour im Director Park, unserem zentralen Ort im Zentrum von Downtown Portland.

Great way to see the beauty of Portland. Our driver was knowledgeable and friendly . The amount of time at each stop was enough to enjoy the falls and walk a little.
Tour was a great way to experience the majestic nature that’s only a short ride outside of Portland. Daniel, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. So knowledgeable about the history of Portland, the surrounding area and local plant species. Truly a great experience. Don’t miss this if you are visiting Portland and don’t have a car. Easy pickup and drop off from downtown!!
