Coffee Farm Tour (Messe)

Our pick up driver, Patrick, was punctual & very friendly. He shared many facts about Kenya. We learned so much during the ride to and from the farm. We felt very safe too. The Fairview coffee farm guide, Raymond, very informative & knowledgeable, making the tour very interactive. It was worth to be onsite and learn everything in real life. Raymond did a great job. We enjoyed our visit very much. I even purchased coffee to bring home. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

The pickup was great. The driver was perfect. The farm itself was very interesting. Received a lot of information. It was very interesting, only all in all it was more expensive than expected.

This was a really educational and enjoyable visit to Fairview Coffee Estate, which has coffee plants that are over 100 years old. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming throughout the experience. Our guide, Raymond, gave us a fantastic masterclass in coffee varieties, cultivation, roasting and tasting. He was clearly very knowledgeable and did a great job of making the tour engaging and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this experience, even if you are not a coffee enthusiast. We also had the opportunity to chat with Michael, the director of the estate, after the tour, which was a lovely way to end the visit. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth doing while in Nairobi.

Good service nice place to visit

First there was no pickup time given. I asked about the time through Trip-Advisor. I received a reply from the tour company within an hour or so. The pickup time was 9:00 am. The driver was about 20 minutes late. We arrived at the farm in time for the tour. One of the inclusions was bottled water. None was offered. I asked the staff at the farm and they eventually found one for me. The farm tour met my expectations. Our guide did a great job.

The Fairview Coffee Estate was a fabulous visit. The guide at the farm was excellent and very knowledgeable about not only coffee and the whole process but also various species of flora and fauna on the property. He made the tour and the tasting fun. I met new friends and got some great coffee too.

Alex was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, not just about coffee and the Fairview Estate, but also of Nairobi, Kenya and the wildlife around it as a whole. We learned so much during the ride to and from the farm, and our estate guide, Elvis was phenomenal as well! We saw and learned the whole coffee making process, from beans to grinding- it was very special. Afterwards, we had a taste of the coffee, which was out of this world! 100/10 highly recommend.

We had an amazing time on the tour! The farm was really beautiful, our guide provided a lot of information about the process of growing the coffee and all the different factors that affect it, and he answered all of our questions. The tasting at the end was fun and we ended up buying several bags of fresh beans because we loved it so much.

I had an extra open morning while in Nairobi and found this offering on Trip Advisor. I'm a coffee lover and figured it would be an interesting visit. I have to say that it greatly exceeded my expectation! Alex, my driver, communicated with me about the pickup time and was very prompt. Our tour group included local students training to be baristas and others from around the world. Elvis was our guide and I can't say enough about his humble manner, his humor and his incredibly great knowledge about the history of coffee. His stories and explanations, as we walked through the coffee field, brought the coffee world to life. It wasn't dull or dry. We got a great overview before the walking tour and then got to use our knowledge to pick a few coffee cherries before heading back to a taste-test and experience the roasting process. This was an incredible 3-hour tour that I'd gladly do again! I highly recommend it.
