Die heilige Sophia "Haghia Sophia" bedeutet auf Griechisch "göttliche Weisheit" und ist eine außergewöhnliche architektonische Leistung aus dem 6. Jahrhundert. Es wurde von Anthémios de Tralles und Isodore de Millet erbaut und von Justinien und seiner Frau Théodora (537) eingeweiht. Dieses byzantinische Meisterwerk hat prächtige Mosaike mit goldenem Hintergrund und farbigen Murmeln. Justinian hatte für den Bau der Kuppel bei Rhodos Erdsteine bestellt, die so leicht waren, dass zwölf von ihnen nicht mehr als einen gewöhnlichen Ziegel wogen. Sie trugen die folgende Inschrift: "Es ist Gott, der gegründet, wird Gott ihm helfen. " Die Osmanen hatten es in eine Moschee verwandelt, dann wurde es 1935 ein Museum.
Die Blaue Moschee (1609-1616) ist mit sechs Minaretten eine der berühmtesten Moscheen der Welt. Sie verdankt ihren Namen den Keramikfliesen (ca. 20.000) aus Iznik (Nicea), die überwiegend blau sind und die Innenwände säumen. .
Der Palast von TOPKAPI hat 4 verschiedene Innenhöfe, er befand sich vor dem Bau des Eisenbahnnetzes auf 70 ha und war bis zum 19. Jahrhundert die Residenz der Sultane. Für 4 Jahrhunderte war es das Verwaltungszentrum des Osmanischen Reiches. Der Palast beherbergte das Hauptquartier von DIVAN, dem Hauptmachtkörper. Die riesige Küche ernährte täglich zwischen 4 und 5 Tausend Menschen. Heute beherbergt die Küche eine Sammlung von chinesischem und japanischem Porzellan. Sein berühmter Schatz mit dem 86-Karat-Diamanten "Kasikçi", den mit Diamanten verzierten goldenen Kronleuchtern und den Thronen des Sultans zeugen von der reichen Geschichte des Reiches. Im 3. Hof des Palastes befindet sich die Reliquienhalle des Propheten Mohammed, es ist ein heiliger Ort für Muslime. Die Kioske im 4. Innenhof vervollständigen diese architektonische Schönheit des Palastes. Auf diesen Terrassen haben Sie einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Goldene Horn und den Bosporus.

Our week in Istanbul would not have been so rich in discoveries without Mustafa's company. This guide is passionate and makes the tours very interesting and enjoyable. I had selected places I wanted to see. There were both the main tourist sites and less popular neighborhoods. Our extended weekend in Istambul would have been so poor without the company of this Mustapha guide. Mustapha is passionate and makes visits very interesting and very pleasant. Back from SRI LANKA and MALDIVES we stopped for 3 nights and 2 days in Istamboul. We were 4 and we spent these 2 days on the old town with Mustapha. Its strengths: punctuality, availability, listening to its customers, adapting to the pace of customers, speaking perfect French and very in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of its country. Besides, in the big bazaar, he avoided tourist routes to take us to the "local part" and show us "real life". If you can, for the cruise on the Bosphorus I recommend the option "private boat" which in addition to the longer duration (+/- 1 hour) also allows to take full advantage of the knowledge of Mustapha. This guide has passionate us to the point that we will go again to Istamboul and certainly then to Cappadocia and we will use his services at that time. I recommend you 200%!!!
