Chimborazo-Tagesausflug - Baños-Riobamba Ecuador

Good guides, made us family perosnalized trip, we met Chimborazo and snow , we reached about 2 do shelter, then we ate delicious baking in Riobamba, it was an intense full day but we achieved our goal, to do a different and safe activity with family;) Excellent guide In addition another day we met with the same agency the LAGUNA QUILOTOA, spectacular landscapes and coat shopping ;)

The best tour with comfortable transportation, it is quite personalized and the guides take time for photos, stopping during the tour with the chimborazo in the background and with enough time to make the walk to the lagoon at 5,100 meters. Without a doubt I recommend it, excellent treatment.

Adolfo, as promised, texted me that there were more turists interested in going to Chimborazo while I was going to get on this trip the very last minute. The tour to Chimborazo was very pleasant, the guides were very attentive, stopped on the way to taste Ecuadorian food, we had many explanations about the sights. I did several tours with agencies in Ecuador and IVAGATOURS is the best! From buying the tour at the agency to the tour itself, I highly recommend it! When I get back to Baños I'm sure I'll do other tours with them. And the day was beautiful! the volcano was wonderful

We went out with the agency twice, to take a walk and tour the area of Neos, and it was just amazing. The guide is very involved, explaining and always taking pictures. The agency is very pleasant, patient with questions and flexible anyway.

With Ivagatours,we went on the Chimborazo tour. It was really nice, we were really well taken care of. But it is expensive for what it is. The guide, the kind Alberto, thanks to him he's a love, took us to the Chimborazo through the 2 hours ride to there. It's a bit long, but all right, because we had to pass through Riobamba on a Saturday (day of fiestas and mercados). We arrived to the first refuge, the guide left us to go up to the 2nd refuge alone. He didn't come with us. We got up, had fun with some other people, really nice experience. Then we got down, and we went to eat. At this time it was about 14-15h. Then we went back to Baños. Also, we've been told everything we needed for the tour, but I'd like to add that up there, there is snow, it's about 4-5°C, so get dressed pretty warm, with hats and gloves. So, I would say it's a really nice tour, but a bit expensive for the service (it's pretty much just a shuttle service to Chimborazo). Thanks to Alberto, a really nice guide, that gives informations about Ecuador in the way, and has a really nice energy!

We took a tour to Chimborazu with Alberto. We left around 9am and were back by 5:30pm, having lunch after the hike around 3pm in a local restaurant. Alberto told us about geographical features of the area on the way to the volcano and pointed out any animals of interest. Make sure you have warm clothes to hike the volcano and hiking boots are ideal. We were lucky enough to see hummingbirds at the lagoon!

Super recommended the day plan in the Chimborazo with bicycle descent. We left Baños at 9am, after a couple of stops to get used to the height we arrived at the entrance of Chimborazo Park, where our guides, Daniel and Alfredo (a 10 both), gave us directions to walk up from the first shelter (4800msnm) to the second shelter (5000msnm). It is a walk of about 1 kilometer, which took us 1 hour to climb as we were stopping to avoid that we did not give us bad altitude. Both Daniel and Alfredo were watching the whole time to ensure the promotion of the whole group (which was small, there were only 6, another point in favor). On arrival at the second refuge 2 of us continue a little longer until we reach a small lagoon that is the highest point that is allowed to climb if you are not going to top. Once back at the first shelter we took the bikes and went down for 1 hour, about 30km, THAT WAS THE MOST FUN PART WITHOUT A DOUBT. The volcano was visible all day, a real wonder of nature. If you go to Baños, going to Chimborazo is a must and the agency, and especially all guides,100x100 recommended.

The main objective is Chimborazo hike, but on the way there were many sights to see. For example active volcano Tungurauha, peculiar stratum, and cute wild pequena in the mountainous area. The guide Albert was giving us explanations timely, and so kind and patient that he waits us for our taking a lot of photos. The main track to lake Condor took 1h+ walk to 5100m. Thanks to the guide who gave us appropriate advise and kept a good pace, we managed to get there without any problems, even one of our friends are complete novice in climbing. Without any doubt this was a great experience.

It was a great tour! The guide is fluent in English and teach us about Chimborazo and Ecuador mountains. We enjoyed the whole process.
