Tania was on time for the pick up. She was lively, interesting and interested in us. It was nice to have a woman guide since we were a group of four women.
It was a fantastic trip! Luigi was wonderful! He was cheerful, informative, flexible, and just a lovely person. The winery and Sandra were perfect. Highly recommend this tour!!!!
We were staying at Montecatini for a few days and decided to book the wine tour. We had such a great afternoon. Valerie was our tour guide and she was so good, informative, funny, and very knowledgeable and also a good driver! Luigi was driving the other minibus and he was also very helpful and friendly. Met some lovely people on our trip, I think 14 of us in total? Vinci was beautiful and we spent about an hour there before going on to the vineyard - high up in the Chianti hills - the views were amazing. Tried several wines with food to match. Was able to buy some wine and olive oil. So glad we booked this and will book again when back in Tuscany.
Valerie is an excellent tour guide and was fluent in English which was a nice surprise as we had expected the tour to be in Italian. The Vince town visit was nice. We enjoyed the wine tasting but still left confused about Chianti wine. Had no idea it could be made from many different grapes. The tour part of the winery and olive oil making was minimal. The weather was gorgeous so the outside tasting was especially pleasan.
I wish I could give zero stars! I booked this for four of us 3 months in advance. Company confirmed payment at that time. I reached out a few days prior to confirm pick up location in Lucca and no reply. Sent numerous messages and never heard back! Needless to say we paid for a tour that never happened! I’m still waiting on my refund but haven’t heard a thing from this company!
Dear Mr Kopp, we are really sorry you didn’t partecipate on the wine tour you booked ion monday 19th of May. We tried to call you many times the day before the tour to reconfirm, but the phone you provided was turned off. The guide and the group waited for you (20 min) on the day of the tour too. At the moment of booking you received the confirmation of payment and confirmation voucher (as everybody on this tour) where was written the meeting point and time. We always request via email that you call or WhatsApp us on the day before the tour just to reconfirm you arrived in Italy, but we didn’t hear from you. If you are still in Lucca, please reply to the email we sent you or call us back and we’ll be happy to accomodate you on our next Chianti wine tour on Monday 26th of May. Kind regards
We were a family of 5 adults and on the tour with another couple from the USA. Tania was our host and a very good driver. We travelled for nearly an hour to Vinci and on to Chianti. The winery visit was lovely with great views and due to the weather we moved inside the winery. Excellent wines and food and very good information about the delicious wines. A great day
What a lovely tour! Tanya was full of information and just a lovely guide. This is the most enjoyable tour I have taken in Tuscany. The snacks and wine and view were all glorious.
I cannot express fully in words the wonderful 1/2 day trip to the Vinci Wine Tour, with this company. From the collection point to drop off, our guide Valerie was amazing, with her knowledge of the area, addressing all questions, her explanations and humour was 5 star. She guided and instructed where necessary, that brought the whole experience alive, whether you were a wine buff or novice, you felt a part of the experience. Our host Sandra, produced excellent food, to go with her family's wines, you tasted Tuscany with every bite. Well done to all.
What can I say, this trip made my holiday. Seeing Vinci and getting a guided tour that set us off perfectly. Then onto the vineyard where we sample, drank so many glasses of wine, sided with the most beautiful meats, cheese and bruschetta. We sang, literally all the way home on the bus
This trip was just indescribable. I get goosebumps thinking about it as for me it was the real Italy. We were picked up and driven through the beautiful countryside to visit Vinci where Leonardo was born and saw the baptismal font where he was baptized which is still used today. The visit to the family run vineyard was just amazing, a very detailed tour of how the wine and olives were processed followed by a beautiful lunch of bruschetta, cheeses, meats coupled with amazing wine and plenty of it. A truly magical experience which we cannot recommend highly enough. We even got to meet the family dog. Purchased some wine and extra virgin olive oil produced on site which is being posed to Ireland. Special thanks to the amazing tour guides whose names I cannot recall (but you know who you are). An absolute must of a trip if you are in this region!
