Wat Phra That Doi Tung oder Wat Phra Maha Chin That Chao ist ein Tempel im Landkreis Mae Sai in Chiang Rai. Es wurde wahrscheinlich in der Zeit von König Achutharat von Yonoknakphan erbaut. Es ist berühmt für Lord Buddhas Schlüsselbeinrelikte, die direkt aus Indien transportiert wurden. Der Legende nach waren Mahākāśyapa und König Achutharat von Yonoknakphan vor etwa 1000 Jahren zusammen mit seinen Dienern die Menschen, die die Reliquien an den Ort brachten.
Wat Rong Khun, den Ausländern vielleicht besser als der Weiße Tempel bekannt, ist eine private Kunstausstellung im Stil eines buddhistischen Tempels in der Provinz Chiang Rai, Thailand. Es gehört Chalermchai Kositpipat, der es 1997 entworfen, gebaut und für Besucher geöffnet hat
Der Wat Phra Kaew ist ein königlicher Tempel in Chiang Rai und einer der ältesten der Stadt. Obwohl das genaue Gründungsjahr des Wat nicht bekannt ist, reicht es zumindest bis zum Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts zurück. Der Wat Phra Kaew ist ein wichtiger Tempel in der thailändischen Geschichte, da hier der Smaragdbuddha im Jahr 1434 entdeckt wurde, nachdem ein Blitz den Chedi getroffen hatte, in dem er aufbewahrt wurde. Der Smaragd-Buddha oder Phra Kaew Morakot ist das am meisten verehrte Buddha-Bild des Landes, das heute im Wat Phra Kaew-Tempel auf dem Gelände des Grand Palace in Bangkok aufbewahrt wird.

Our tour guides were awesome! They took us to several different local temples and explained everything about them. They also took us to a local market and taught us a lot about the different food.
