Die Sichuan-Oper wird traditionell in einem Teehaus genossen, wo sich das Publikum bei leckeren Snacks und heißem Tee entspannen kann, während es die Aufführung genießt. Das Sufengyayun-Teehaus ist eines der besten in Chengdu und befindet sich im Chengdu-Kulturpark in der Nähe des Qingyang-Palastes. Das Gebäude ist im Stil des rustikalen Old West Shu Country von Sichuan gehalten. Sie werden sich freuen, denn die alte chinesische dramatische Kunst des Bian Lian (Gesichtsveränderung) ist ein Höhepunkt der Show. Die Darsteller tragen farbenfrohe Kostüme und bewegen sich zu schneller, dramatischer Musik. Ihre Gesichter werden von farbenfrohen Masken verdeckt ... und im Bruchteil einer Sekunde verändern sich die Masken und zeigen völlig neue Gesichter. Die VIP-Tickets können 1 aus den 3 verfügbaren lokalen Erlebnissen auswählen, die vom Opernhaus angeboten werden: A. Ohrenreinigung; B. Massage; C. ziehe ein einfaches Opernkostüm an. Jede Aktivität dauert etwa 10 bis 20 Minuten und ist 20 bis 30 Minuten vor der Oper verfügbar. Die Show beginnt um 18:00 Uhr und 20:00 Uhr und die Show dauert 90 Minuten.

Visited from the UK with tour group (cost 300Y) - excellent show and well worth a visit. Fun and exciting - would describe as fabulous.
We booked VIP seats but were placed halfway to the back, constant obstruction by workers selling food. Face changing was barely 5 minutes at the end.Overall a so so performance

Absolutely brilliant show. Such good value for money. Free tea and a shoulder massage during the show too - excellent.
Andy, the tour operator did a great job. He provided excellent communication and even personally helped us with the show tickets and drove my wife and me back to the hotel after it. He was very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend his services. For the show itself, mix feelings. there were different acts, some of them I really liked such as the mask changing dances or the hand shadows, some others not at all with the singing, but it is about preferences and I'm not a big opera fan myself. Would not go again to the same show, but it was a good and interesting experience. If I return to Chengdu, for sure I will contact Andy again and will ask him to help us with other sightseeing activities

Great Service from driver, the performance is beautiful and sometimes hilarious but definitely an art form. Good Service from the staff of the opera house, included are tea the whole performance long and beyond a dessert, souvenir, neck and shoulder massage or traditional ear cleaning
We enjoy the opera house. The actors and actresses really put on an amazing show. Loved the changing masks and fire breath g. The skits were entertaining even though we dont know mandarin. We had an amazing driver Lin Bin. We were able to communicate with translator he was amazing.
Arrive early for any of the promos or souvenirs. Download Alipay/Wechat pay to order extra food or drink (besides the bottomless tea/sunflower seeds available). The location of the ticket place / and performance aren’t obvious - get the tour operator to send you photos in advance. My seats in the VIP section were in the far back - even though I arrived extra early - so when booking make sure to ask for better seats, where possible.
A must see when in chengdu! The ticket provided by Andy includes your choice of a 10 min massage, ear cleaning, dessert or a souvenir. I had good seats near the front. Thanks for the ticket, Andy!
