Das Hotel Bennett wurde am 27. Januar 2019 eröffnet. Der Bau dauerte 20 Jahre. Der Spatenstich erfolgte im März 2015 und die Bauzeit betrug 47 Monate. Das Hotel ist so gestaltet, dass es den Eindruck erweckt, als stamme es aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Viele der historischen Häuser von Charleston wurden als Design-Referenzen verwendet.
Die dritte Feuerwache, die nach dem Erdbeben von 1886 gebaut wurde, war eine neue Station 6. Sie ersetzte die ehemalige Marion Steam Fire Engine Company gleich um die Ecke.

My husband and I went on the lunch tour with Robin. Probably one of the best tours we have been on. Robin was very entertaining and also gave us the history of the food and some of the city. Would definitely do this again

We had a wonderful tour this morning with Nathan! He was warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable about all things Charleston. We loved each stop and getting to try the local fare. Everything was delicious, and Nathan arranged alternatives for the Vegetarian and Gluten-Free members of our group. In between food stops, we learned a ton about Charleston's history. At the end of the tour, he also sent a list of recommended restaurants and key things we learned, so we could do a deeper dive on our own. He also took a group picture and sent it to us. It was a very pleasant way to get to know Charleston with a local. We highly recommend it!

Beth was our guide and we had a nice tour around N King St. She was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of the area, history of some restaurants and had some great food. Shrimp and grits were my favorite of the tour.
