Unsere Big Red Barn liegt günstig direkt neben dem Charleston City Market. Hier treffen Sie Ihren zertifizierten Reiseleiter, bevor Sie Ihre einstündige Kutschenfahrt antreten. Ihre Kutsche fährt durch das Stadttor am Markt, wo Ihr Reiseleiter Ihnen eine einzigartige Tourroute zuweist. Erleben Sie etwa 30 Blocks des historischen Viertels mit atemberaubender Architektur, wunderschönen Kirchen, Gärten und mehr. Die Tour endet wieder an der Big Red Barn.
Während Sie Ihre Kutschfahrt genießen, kommen Sie an der berühmten St. Philip’s Church vorbei, der ältesten Gemeinde in den USA südlich von Virginia. Dieses wunderschöne Wahrzeichen liegt direkt neben dem Markt in der Church Street und ist ein Muss auf Ihrer Charleston-Kutschfahrt.
Auf Ihrer Route kommen Sie auch am berühmten US-Zollamt in Charleston, South Carolina, vorbei. Der Bau begann 1852, wurde jedoch aufgrund des möglichen Austritts South Carolinas aus der Union gestoppt. Das Gebäude wurde schließlich 1879 fertiggestellt und ist ein weiterer Teil der reichen Geschichte Charlestons.

This company does not disclose ahead of time that there is a lottery system done by a bingo machine so that the tour you go on is completely random. We did not find out about this until we were in the carriage coming upon the corner with the bingo machine. Our tour mainly took us in front of residential homes. There was no historic sites visited. If I knew about this lottery system ahead of time, I would not have booked this or any other horse drawn carriage tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed the waterfront historic carriage tour with Palmetto Carriage Works. Our guide was Mariah and the horse was Howie. We learned so much about that area snd Mariah was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We can’t wait to go back again next year.
