I have rarely been so disappointed by a tour as I was at Champagne Harlin. We have already visited large, glamorous wineries like Moët et Chandon or Taittinger, which are fully geared towards tourism. Based on the pictures on the website, we expected a small but fine winery with character. And perhaps an engaged winemaker who presents the uniqueness of his family business in a lively and committed manner - but that was not the case. Even the greeting was only casual and disinterested. The location has not the slightest charm, and the tour was conducted without any empathy. The apparent expertise of the young woman who guided us was the only positive aspect worth mentioning, but it was delivered as if on a conveyor belt. It was disappointing across the board; a visit to Champagne Harlin is a waste of time. Fritz Otten
Very lovely experience and excellent champagne!
Superb family moment, happiness to meet a guide passionate about his land and production. A warm welcome for us and our little dog, a discovery rich in exchanges and learning at all levels. Visit of the estate, the production workshop, the sumptuous cellar and all closed with a quality tasting. In short, perfection from A to Z.
First i must say that there is a friendly reception, but...... the introduction to making champagne is not that good. You are shown some of the barrels that are used for the blending and some of the larger containers for the new wine. This with explanation takes about 10 to 15 minutes in a dark small cellar. No corridors with botlles lined up . No explanation of the area , soil, location of the plots. Just some of the technique. Than there is a tasting of 3 wines and 1 Ratafia. All in the smallest sips possible. My opinion....not worth travelling the distance from Reims to visit.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the visit did not meet your expectations. The soils and terroirs are explained during each visit. The introduction is intentionally kept short to leave more room for the technical part in the cellar, and we are of course always happy to go further depending on the group’s interest and questions.Regarding the quantities, these are tasting pours; we are sorry if they did not seem sufficient. Kind regards
Very rewarding experience. With our super nice guide. We will be delighted to repeat this experience!
Merci beaucoup pour votre retour, vous êtes les bienvenus !
Our guide very competent and kind state. The family business adopts an environmentally friendly approach, following the principles of organic farming. She scrupulously respects the specifications to produce a high quality champagne
We booked a vineyard tour. We were fifteen minutes on a mini field in the village, not even among the vineyards. Limited explanation. Tasting inside in sober room with a very small amount. At other tastings we got much more filled glasses. We only started at 2.10pm because 2 of our tour were drinking first and we had to wait for them. The end was already at 3.20pm. We paid for 1.5h 😔.
We were the last visitors, botched visit.... Mediocre Champagne.... But for people who are not too demanding, it’s very good...
Bonjour, Dommage que l’expérience ne vous ait pas convaincu, ce n’est clairement pas ce qu’on souhaite laisser comme souvenir. On prend note, et on espère avoir l’occasion de faire meilleure impression une prochaine fois. Bien à vous
From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by Chléo, the experience was a complete joy. Chléo was passionate about her subject and shared her knowledge freely and with good detail to help us understand the champagne making process. Visiting the vineyard was really helpful and interesting and Chléo answered all our questions in good detail. Viewing all the equipment involved in the process was very interesting and visiting the cellars was especially good. Such a lot goes into the process of making champagne. The tasting was wonderful and we were able to understand the differences in the samples, which Chléo explained so well. Thoroughly recommended.
A great experience. Cloé explained a lot and, above all, spoke very clearly that we could understand them well in French. We really liked that dogs were allowed. In addition to our dog, there was another dog. That worked great. The subsequent tasting of 3 champagnes and the Ratafia was very exciting. It was also no problem to try another champagne that we wanted to buy. We can highly recommend the tour, informative, entertaining and delicious.
