Chalkidiki Blaue Lagune Kreuzfahrt von Thessaloniki

Hello, my girlfriend and I would like to express how delighted we were with our day trip. My girlfriend is pregnant, and the driver was incredibly considerate. He shared a wealth of information about the country and its culture with us. He was consistently friendly and clearly had excellent interpersonal skills. Everything was perfect.

Don't let the title of this tour fool you -- I was led to believe this boat sailed out of Thessaloniki. But that's not the case...a bus picks you up in Thessaloniki and then you're driven about 1 1/2 hours away to the town of Ormos Panagias to board the pirate ship. Nowhere in this Viator ad was this mentioned. I had good communication with the tour operator ahead of time to work out a good pick-up spot, and I appreciated the Google "dropped pin", that was helpful. When the bus pulled up, the driver told me that "Yes, the bus was headed to the Blue Lagoon Pirate Ship", but we weren't on his manifest. He had no Viator customers on his manifest. After some negotiating, and a phone call to the tour operator, the driver said our group could board. As the bus proceeded out of town, I started to get worried: I thought our boat was sailing out of Thessaoniki. I checked with other passengers on the bus and they confirmed that they were also heading to the Blue Lagoon Pirate Ship (phew!). One person showed me her GetYourGuide ad for the same cruise and that website was more clear that you'd take a bus up to 100 minutes each way to/from the ship's port. This information is not part of the Viator ad. Once our family accepted the long bus ride (which was a beautiful drive, by the way), we got to the ship. Be prepared for a ~500' walk from the bus to the ship itself. I was relieved our tickets were good for the cruise, since we weren't on the bus manifest. The ship is on the campy side, but fun just the same. The crew was entertaining and funny. They set up some cute activities for kids. There are two bars on board, but their menu is pretty limited. We stopped at two beaches, Blue Lagoon beach on Diaporos Island and Robinson Beach which is a little further down the peninsula: both were fun to visit and so beautiful. The boat will anchor 50-75' from the beach itself. You have the option to ride a dingy boat to the shore from the ship, or you can leap into the water right there and swim. I took the dingy at one beach, and swam to shore at the other beach. Either option was perfectly good. We spent 90 minutes at each of the two beaches, and our family did have a good time. However, there isn't much to do other than just play in the sand or water. No food service, no bar stuff till you're back on the pirate ship. If kids need entertainment, be sure to bring activities for them: goggles, snorkels, shovels, toys, balls to toss around, etc. They have plenty of beach umbrellas available for use, which I appreciated. The lunch is served on the ship in between the two beach visits. It was NOT GOOD. The Greek meatballs were dry and salty; the rice was undercooked. I ate the sliced fresh tomatoes and cucumbers (which were good), and the slice of bread. To conclude, recommend Viator add some details to their description of this event. With more accurate information I'd have been better prepared and less anxious, sitting on a tour bus not knowing where we were going.

Awesome trip on the Blue lagoon Halkidiki Cruise! Friendly Staff & Memorable Destinations & Crystal Clear Water over all a great Tour!

I found this tour disappointing. Probably because of the lack of tour guide presence and/or information on the coach transfer or on the boat, setting expectations, and with so few reviews it's hard to know what to really expect. The transfer was fine, no wifi on the coach but comfortable and on time. Arrival - the boat was incredibly crowded when we arrived, and again no wifi. The inside was hot and stuffy, and the outside completely full. There is a small cash only bar, with a limited selection but it provided the needed caffeine following such an early start. First stop seemed unnecessary, it's just a village with shops and cafes, would have preferred longer on the beach as that was the reason for the trip. We can go to a souvenir shop or a cafe anytime. But we got to waste an hour here. Arrival at the beach, it was so so so busy, my daughter was quite unwell and we desperately tried to find somewhere in the shade for her to lie down, we did eventually find one single bed and moved it to the shade. At lunchtime the beach emptied out as the other boat's travellers all left, and plenty more beds appeared. Lunch does not comprise of a vegetarian option, ignore them saying that it does. It simply involves them not putting meat on the plate. So as a vegetarian you get rice, tzatziki, a table spoon of greek salad and bread. There is no increase of portions if you dont want something eg meat, or rice. The beach was quite nice once the other boat left and there was space to sit and relax but then it was time to leave...and sail to a spot where were could jump off and swim round the boat. I think if my expectations had been set, then I wouldn't have felt disappointed... The tour guide spent the day on her phone, and at no point checked in to see if we were ok, and when we needed her on the beach as we just needed to find somewhere cool for my daughter who was really unwell at this point, she was no where...and there was no way of getting a bed or a chair as they were all taken. I appreciate these tours run daily and you are just another number out of many trudging on and off, and it's because you are definitely made to feel this way that I only give it three stars. We did other tours whilst in Greece, and this was the only one where there was no attempt to feel welcome or supported by the Guide.

This was the second time we have been on this excursion and we lived it just as much as the first! The scenery is absolutely stunning and it is a beautiful trip out - the inside of the boat itself is lovely with lots of interesting items also! The bar is good value with plenty of choice and the crew are lovely also. The Captian is very entertaining and everyone is friendly and helpful. The lunch of really nice meat balls, salad and rice is what I would call 'functional' but it really does hit the spot and after the first session of swimming it was welcome. The swim spots are lovely and you get a good amount of time in them but do bring your suncream as you will be out all day

A great boat trip to the blue lagoon. BBQ on the beach and time for a swim. Plenty of space on board and staff really attentive at dive stops.

If you go to Thessaloniki you MUST go on this tour, I am just in the middle of it and feeling absolutely delightful and satistified with all so far!!! Thanks Guys!! Lais & Shane

Very poor Service from MTM DMC Ltd. Greece. (28 July 20) Booking, including voucher was confirmed but without exact pick-up time. The voucher said between 4-6 a.m. I then tried to get more specific data through the agency. Several phone calls also to Greece with MTM, who told me at 17:30 (one day before the trip) that they still need 10 minutes. It became later and later. Even an email didn't help. AT 18:15 I got an email saying that the trip had been cancelled due to corona. 10 hours before the trip. Hmm. The clubs are all open without masks etc. I was offered a replacement date of August 4, 2020. There it goes despite corona. I don't believe in cancelling the tour. They just didn't get this sorted out.

Holiday we enjoyed very nice places I would come again and use your agent.everything was excellent. Good

Me and my wife went from morning to evening on this boat trip in a cool pirate ship. Three stops, first on a small island, second in a port town and third in a bay where you had to swim from the ship. It was super warm and lovely.
