Cesky Krumlov Tour 4 Stunden

Lukas was fantastic and showed us every nook and cranny of Krumlov from a locals perspective with a lifetime of experience. He had tips and tricks to navigating every street and showed us so much!

Our tour guide was Matous and we got the best castle tour possible. His family lives in castle area and he works there in several capacities. Love to have a local person like that. Four hours went by easier and faster than we expected, especially since a lot of uphill walking. Highly recommend if you get Matous!

We arrived 1 day earlier into Česky Krumlov and walked the entire day on our own to get a perspective and layout of the Old Town. It wasn’t until the next 2 days of doing tours with Sarka and Karolína that everything we had seen now made sense. The 4hr City Tour covered all the sites including the massive Castle Complex + Gardens. The next day we did the Turmoil in the 20th Century Tour that completed the history. Both guides were knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to be with. It’s a wonderful place to visit, however without the tours you just see Česky Krumlov, you really don’t understand the basic reasons for its existence: The what, when, why, and where is it going. Kudos to our guides.

We spent one night in Cesky Krumlov and booked our tour for 3pm. Marie was our tour guide and the later start gave time for the tour groups to leave. She was wonderful and adapted the tour for our multigenerational group. We visited many sights in the town and made our way to the top of the castle. She was very informative and gave an in depth history of the town. Which was fascinating to hear, We also got to hear her experiences growing up in the town under communism and how life has changed. An excellent tour. Stepan knows the history of the town, the castle, and its place in history inside and out. He has lived there all his life, so he can tell you the details of what everyday life is like as well as the larger historical context. He’s flexible, too, so if you get interested in something along the way like local mushrooms and waterfowl, he can roll with it. The long, personalized tour is worth every penny.
