Die Burg Trakošćan ist eine Burg in Nordkroatien, die aus dem 13. Jahrhundert stammt und eines der seltenen Objekte in Kroatien mit vollständig erhaltener Konstruktion ist, die historisch mit dem architektonischen Rahmen und dem Leben ihrer Besitzer - der Familie Drašković - verbunden ist. Der Ortsname „Trakošćan“ wurde erstmals in schriftlichen Dokumenten aus dem Jahr 1334 erwähnt. Das Kulturerbe der Burg Trakošćan ist als historische Einheit geschützt, die aus der Burg, dem Gebäude neben der Burg, dem Park und dem Waldpark mit einem See besteht. Heute ist das Schloss eines der wenigen Objekte in Kroatien mit erhaltener eigener Verfassung, die historisch eng mit dem architektonischen Rahmen und dem Leben seiner Besitzer verbunden ist.
Das neue Krapina Neanderthal Museum befindet sich in der Nähe der weltberühmten Fundstätte der Krapina Neandertaler „Hušnjakovo“, was es zu einem einzigartigen Besucherkomplex macht. Das Krapina Neanderthal Museum befindet sich in der Nähe der Ausgrabungsstätte Hušnjakovo, wo 1899 die weltweit größte Sammlung fossiler Neandertalerknochen gefunden wurde. In den Höhlensandsteinablagerungen wurden mehr als neunhundert fossile Knochen von Neandertalern und zahlreiche fossile Überreste von pleistozänen Tieren (Wollnashorn, Höhlenbär, Wolf, Elch, Riesenhirsch und viele andere) gefunden. Über tausend Stücke von Steinwerkzeugen waren Zeugen der materiellen Kultur der Krapina-Neandertaler. Die Stätte stammt aus dem Jahr 125 000 v. Chr. und ist eine der bedeutendsten paläoanthropologischen Fundstellen weltweit. Die Architektur des Museums erinnert an den Lebensraum des prähistorischen Menschen: die Halbhöhle, das Volumen, die Proportionen und die Fassade, die das Ergebnis der Analyse des Aussehens der antiken Krapina-Halbhöhle sind.

Really nice trip and a great way to spend the day. Trakošćan Castle is beautiful, and the museum was interesting even though I’m usually not a big fan of museums. Everything was well organized and went smoothly. I would definitely recommend it if you’re staying in Zagreb and want to see something different :)
Had a great experience on this tour! Highly recommend touring the castle. It is very well done! The Neanderthal museum is also very interesting. Sanja was an amazing guide! Very friendly and was prompt at the pickup location. I really appreciate her being so flexible. We booked with her the night before and it was for only two people but she happily accepted the booking. The weather started taking a turn on the way back and she was kind enough to drop us off at our hotel instead of the normal drop off location so we wouldn’t have to walk back in the rain. Overall, highly recommend booking a tour with her.

Very fun and interesting tour. Nice getting to know Croatian history and wine tasting was great as well. The walk around the Trakoscan lake was the best part for me.4

You, the company tour operstor. sent me a message with notice that i had to find sb else because the excursion could not be done with only one person THE PREVIOUS DAY. You could have warned me 2 days in advance at least, so i could change my plans. I had to hire a cab to visit the trakoscan castle of Draskovic family, Unique barroque gothic style in east european countries with furniture and paintings still in. (Not in Ljubliana castles, which are empty, only stone walls because they were fortresses. By the way, ..your ticket to PredjamaCastle was not valid at the office of Predjama ONLY TICKTES BOUGHT THERE ARE VALID.... ..AND YOU EVEN DID NOT ANSWER MY MESSAGES ABOUT PITVICE VISIT ON A RAINY DAY! i will never reserve a tour on your company. Refund, pls.
I am very sorry for your wasted day, but we tried to reach you on the phone number you left. Unfortunately, you did not leave the correct number and did not respond to us. Unfortunately, every traveler is obliged to contact us at least a day before and check the conditions to make sure everything is as scheduled in the program description. You did not call or respond to our message! I think you have confused us with some other agency because you did not book a trip to Plitvice or Predjama Castle with us nor did you contact us about it!
The castle was fabulous. Lots of stairs to get there. The Neanderthal museum was very well done and if you like history, it is a musty. Our guide was amazing. She was informative, friendly, and flexible.

Our guide was very nice, flexible and interactive. Our tour turned into a small group excursion with just the 3 of us and we had a phenomenal day. Krapina is a lovely small town and the Neanderthal Museum is a MUST. So educational and in an unexpectedly gorgeous setting. The castle is one of the most amazing castles I have ever seen. Highly recommend this tour!

Tour guide never reached out to me prior to trip. Had to contact viator the day of when the tour guide was 30 minutes late, who contacted the operator. Operator told me they couldn’t drive for several days, so my trip was cancelled. I should’ve listen to the other reviewer who warned about this. Do not book with this company.
Ok, sir... I'm a woman... and an entrepreneur... alone in this business, I organize and drive when there are at least 3 people! It's not worth working for anyone in this world to work for individual tours, and even though I do everything myself, I reported in time that the tour wouldn't go because there were too few people, that is, it's just you! You managed to apply to other big agencies that drive full buses and earn great money... and I drive when there's work, and when there's not, I do something else! Thanks foto the review! ;) GBY
It was perfect! Such a beautiful medieval castle and all the nature around The exhibition shows the life of the medieval burgh and the rooms where you can move around and get to know the life of the nobility It would be wonderful if the lake had water, but it's still under renovation, so it's not a complete experience. I hope some next time. Love it ♥
