My family had an incredible time on this boat trip to Capri. The crew we wonderful, Antonio has great energy and really entertained our girls and played great music for them. We had about four hours on Capri, enough to get up to the chairlift and stroll through Annacapri for a while before returning to the boat. We shared the boat with another very nice couple and their daughters as well and they all had a blast. Would definitely do it again.
All in all it was a good trip. Capri Island is very beautiful and I also enjoyed the experience of visiting by boat. However, there seems to be little time to spend on the island. I had to wait to get into the Blue Grotto. Still, it's a good trip for those who are visiting Capri for the first time.
We booked this tour on Viator for a semi private boat tour of Capri and the Blue Grotto. When we arrived at the check in office we were all informed we had to pay an additional 10 euros each cash only for administrative fee(bullsh.t charge). Other than that our boat captain and first mate were excellent. They had cold beverages and snacks during the whole day while on the boat. At Capri they gave us very helpful information to experience the island to its fullest. Using the hop on hop off bus took us to all the highlights of the island. Upon return to the boat we headed to the Blue Grotto but did not stay long. There was over 1.5 hr wait to enter the grotto and the tide was not in our favor. As a group on the boat we voted to go on and see the other grottos and even stopped for a swim. The crew were very informative and helpful as we stopped at scenic spots for pictures. **Would of been 5 star review if not charged the extra untold explained fee.
This experience was not worth the money. It was my least favorite part of our vacation. They were short staffed so all we had was a captain that provided no information. There was no mate on board, but the Captain did his best. They dropped us off in Capri with no details. They do not explain you have to pay €25 for the bus to get into the city (which they should just start including into the price). The highlight in Capri was the chairlift. That is a separate experience for about €20. Some groups got to go to the Blue Grotto & swim first, while ours went to Capri first. The so-called Caprese sandwiches were disgusting. The Captain tried to deter us from the Blue Grotto claiming the wait was almost 2 hours. While others on our boat were okay with not doing it, my friend and I were adamant about it. He then tried to make us feel guilty for wanting the full experience we purchased. Somehow, he mysteriously figured out a way to get us in within 30-40 minutes. We did have to tip the guy that less us in as well as pay the entry fee. Additionally, he tried to drop everyone off at a completely different area than where we met at leaving everyone confused and shocked. After we all refused to get off, he then took us back to the meeting point. The waters were beautiful and the boat was clean, however you can likely find a better experience with another company for cheaper.
Captain Luca and Francesco made our voyage one of the best we've ever had! They were very kind and informative with a deep knowledge of the islands and the historical structures, providing a one of a kind experience. They were extremely attentive, making sure to keep our drinks and bellies full as we cruised around the islands. Their timing was impeccable! They were able to get us into the Blue Grotto within minutes of arrival and made sure that we didn't feel rushed at any time. They arrived for puck up on the island of Capri exactly as scheduled so as not to waste a single moment or opportunity for our adventure. If you're planning this trip, you'd be doing yourself a favor to specifically ask for Francesco and Captain Luca!
Overall, a fun day on the water and exploring Capri. You pay a good amount of money up front and still have to pay an additional 10 Euro at the dock, 18-20 Euros pp to take the bus around Capri as there is not a great way to see it all without the bus pass and you need 17-18 Euros pp for the chairlift on Capri to have the extraordinary view and another 18 Euros pp to do the Blue Grotto (much of this must be in cash). My feeling is charge me up front for all of these things and let it all be included for a high quality experience from start to finish that is handled for us instead of a nickle and diming feeling. Additionally, a "Caprese" sandwich was provided. I'm still looking for the mozzarella and tomatoes (no basil to be found either)! It was a huge dry partially burned bread bun with 2 tiny thin slices of tomato and 2 tiny slices of mozzarella and a bit of olive oil...horrible. We LOVED the boat, getting to swim, put our feet in the water, hang on a boat and go under the waterfall...overall, a good time. Just could have been great and it wasn't.
Alex and Frank were amazing tour guides for our boat tour around the coast. They were extremely welcoming and provided us such a great and friendly experience. I would highly recommend this tour to any family, friends, couples, and solo travelers looking to explore the coast and island!
Just outstanding! Alex and Frank know exactly what their job is and are the friendliest guys ever. I don’t think I’ve been on a tour this fun and it was largely due to the them. Alex and Frank, thank you!
One of the best excursions we've been on we were well looked after and had a lot of fun the captain and his mate were exceptional
Anna was wonderful however were unaware that there were extra cost of $25 for bus transportation on Capri
