There was a great mix of activities within this tour. We got to see the rainforest, see the great barrier reef. We got to do a river cruise and check out crocodiles, a fluorescent stick bug. Our guide, John, taught us a lot about the flora and fauna within the Daintree Rain Forest. We ended the day with a sweet treat at the Daintree Ice Cream Co.
A great tour, although perhaps a bit rushed as there was so much to get through. Our guide Layla was absolutely amazing despite a couple of setbacks that made us late ( due to no fault of her own or the tour company) she was amazing, offering to drop us all wherever we wanted to so we could find dinner on late arrival back in cairns.
Lovely all-day tour. Beautiful views of the rainforest, a river ride (saw crocodiles), and friendly staff that picks up and drops off from set locations.
We got to go through the rainforest and see many sights that would have been difficult to do solo. We enjoyed all the stops and sights.
The tour itself is great - especially Mossman Gorge. The driver / guide knew a lot and made everything interesting. There is a lot of driving time though. The company Viator used for this tour were very poor on customer service: we were given a 7am. pickup time, and waited 40 minutes for the bus. The company could have bought us an iceream and / or wine with lunch, but blamed Viator or me for not looking at text messages (there was no text message). The driver / tour guide was good, but kept bringing up this late pickup and arguing with me - the other passengers clearly thought I was being nasty to the driver, so the atmosphere on the very long bus ride was poor. I felt really sad - we were on the break as we'd had an extreemly bad year. Next day I sent an email to the tour company. A young business manager phoned me and talked at length about their policies and procedures, but didn't mention customer service- they didn't listen to how I'd felt as a result of their lack of genuine apology and had no empathy. This has left a nasty taste. The waterfalls tour was fantastic, on the other hand, with lovely customer service. Viator used a different company for that one perhaps. Customer service counts for A LOT with me. If you are not fussed about it, the tour itself is fine.
Thank you for your feedback. We investigated the matter thoroughly. Our records confirm that the correct pickup information was sent to the email address provided at the time of booking on two separate occasions: once shortly after booking and again seven days prior to travel. Previous communications sent to the same email address were also successfully received and actioned. While we occasionally send SMS reminders as a courtesy, these are supplementary only and do not form part of our booking process. Guests are provided with their confirmed pickup details via email and are responsible for reviewing this information prior to travel. We would also like to clarify that our guide was not attempting to argue or assign blame. As you acknowledged in your correspondence, he provided a positive experience throughout the tour. His questions regarding the pickup arrangements were simply part of our efforts to understand the circumstances surrounding the misunderstanding. Our team takes guest concerns seriously and made every effort to listen, investigate and assist. While we are sorry that you left feeling disappointed, we respectfully disagree with the suggestion that responsibility was avoided or that our team failed to provide good customer service. We also expect interactions with our staff to remain respectful when they are genuinely trying to help.
I was travelling with my son after a very sad / bad year for us both. We were given a pickup time of 7:00am., when we should havd had a text to say it was 7:40am. I let this go, after a great swim at Mossman Gorge - it was clear there was to be no apology or compensation. However, the guide insisted on 'apologising', while giving all sorts of excuses - why not just say they screwed up and buy us a Daintree icecream or a wine with lunch?? They guide was argumentative and other passengers heard snippets and saw me having to prove to him I had NOT had a text about pickup time. I felt the other passengers only saw it lookkng like I was being nasty to this guide, so there was a very upsetting negative vibe. This is so trivial and could have been handled so much better, rather than accusing others - give some good customer service. My son had a good time, whereas I felt really saddened by the experience - it was horrible.

Excellent day trip which is well-paced & informative. Our driver/guide, Pilvi, was wonderful, humorous, & engaging. It is worth the visit to see nature & efforts to preserve cultural heritage.
Interesting, informative, and fun! We really enjoyed spending time in the rainforest, exploring Cape Tribulation, and getting the chance to see saltwater crocodiles in the wild. Our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. A great way to experience this beautiful part of Australia!
Woohoo! Thanks for the awesome review of our Daintree Rainforest Tour. So cool you got to see some saltwater crocodiles! Glad we could add some adventure to your Cairns trip.
Good way to explore the Daintree Rainforest from Cairns. Patrick was our guide, very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the fauna and flora of the Rainforest. It was a long day tour and long drive to get there, but worth the visit. After the hotel pick ups, we headed to Mossman Gorge, where we had a glimpse of the local Aboriginal culture with the smoke ceremony, took a shuttle bus to the gorge area where we had a good view of the forest and have the option to swim. It was a short stop so not that much time for a swim. The water was super clear and freezing cold. Next stop was the Daintree river Cruise where you can spot all the big crocs in the area, and then we keep going to Cape tribulation for a quick pre ordered lunch break. Lunch was not the best, as we got the burritos, which were filled with rice more than anything else. After lunch, we went for the boardwalk in the rainforest finishing up at the Cape Tribulation beach. On the way back, we stopped at the Daintree Ice cream shop where we’ve tried some exotic ice cream tropical flavours such as Wattleseed and yellow sapote. The ice creams are pre-scooped so we were not able to try before buying. Good to try something different. Overall, it was a good experience and day tour option from Cairns.
Wow — thank you for such a thoughtful review! Our team is absolutely thrilled to hear that your experience on our Daintree Rainforest Tour was a highlight of your time in the tropics. We put a lot of energy into creating tours that are not only fun, but also full of local stories, natural beauty, and good vibes. Your kind words mean the world to us and will definitely be shared with the crew. Whenever you’re back in Far North Queensland, we’d love to welcome you on another adventure!
This tour was perfectly paced and kept you moving all day! The trip was broken up so that there was no more than a 1/2 hour to an hour of driving between events. It is even less driving for those staying in Port Douglas!
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience of our Daintree Rainforest Tour! Our team absolutely loves showing off the best of this region, and we’re pumped to hear you enjoyed the adventure. Hope we get to explore more tropical magic with you next time!
