Calypso River Tubing Abenteuer von Ocho Rios

Booked as part of a multiple tour from the cruise ship. Had an amazing time and our guide Leon was brilliant, singing all the way day and generally just providing great entertainment. We were lucky to be the first down the river and even in the rain it was a great experience. The stop off half way down for a rum punch was also a highlight. I'd 100% recommend visiting this spot if you're visiting Ocho Rios as even with the rain the mood was light and everyone we saw was cheerful.

We went with our 8 and 13 year old today. The rapids are pretty mild but it was perfect for our family. The tour guide made the ride entertaining and fun. We’d do this again when we return to Ocho Rios!

Awesome experience! The guides were fun and we felt safe the entire way. We even got corny jokes from the guide that I plan to use…LOL this was definitely worth the money and I would do it again.

What a fantastic experience whilst on our family holiday in Ocho Rios. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and a 6 and 9 year old) and were very lucky to have access to a car so we didn't book through a tour operator. We were looking for things to do and saw Calypso White River rafting. After a quick look on youtube, we put the address in the sat nav and drove to the venue. The website states that the sat nav may give the wrong location and this was the case. Luckily the website shows a very handy map so please check that out of travelling by car. We arrived at Calypso without pre-booking and had no problem booking 4 tubes. We even bought a waterproof phone case. We were then handed over to Ricky our captain who was the best! He was so good with the kids and very entertaining throughout the journey in the river. The kids felt safe at all times and Ricky ensured we were never split up. We stopped for photos and the rope swing/tyre. Highly recommend for anyone in Ocho Rios

The tubing experience was great going through the jungle and Dwight the guide was very nice. I didn’t like at the “bar” located about halfway through the tour the “bartender” pushed me to buy the guide a beer. Happy I did the tour probably wouldn’t do it again.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Our guide (Demar with Demce tours—HIGHLY RECOMMEND) brought us here after the blue hole. This was the perfect relaxing stop. No crowds, exceptional guide Jack, who stayed with us the whole time and made sure we were safe and having a great time. The tubes have wooden bottoms and it is an extremely comfortable and fun ride. Our teenage boys both said they loved it, which means success!

We are Floridians so of course we are wusses when it comes to water temp so don't expect the warm Caribbean sea water!! This is mountain river water and chilly!!! However, do NOT let that stop you from this fantastic little trip. Get in that tube and GO!!

We visited Calypso River Tubing last week and had such an amazing time! Our guides were incredible - they did a great job keeping us safe and we loved their singing! The first half of the trip down the river has plenty of rapids (but not too big to be scary - just a lot of fun) and the second half was a nice relaxing float down the river. I would highly recommend this excursion to people of all ages!
