In seinem smaragdgrünen Wasser können Sie verschiedene Wassersportarten wie Windsurfen und Sportfischen ausüben, die alle von gigantischen Bergen umgeben sind. Sobald wir die G-25-Route betreten, ist La Obra die erste Stadt, die wir kennen. Dieser Sektor hatte seine Anfänge im Jahr 1802 aufgrund der Aufgaben, die während des Baus des San Carlos-Kanals ausgeführt wurden, dessen Mündung im Maipo geboren wurde Fluss.

Es ist die zweite Stadt, die wir besuchen werden. Ihre Anfänge gehen auf das Jahr 1941 zurück, als das Grundstück eines alten Bauernhofs entstand. Derzeit treffen typische Produkte wie Mandeln, Honig, Nüsse und Quarze den Besucher am Straßenrand
Die Identität dieser Stadt ermutigt die Besucher, ihre wunderschöne natürliche Umgebung immer friedlicher zu genießen, was in einigen Bereichen mit der malerischen Architektur ihrer Region verwechselt wird. Zusätzlich zum Genießen von Weinen und Spirituosen aus der Region
San Gabriel entstand als kleines Dorf, das aus Viehzucht und der Ausbeutung von Steinbrüchen und Minen entstand. In dieser Stadt ist es möglich, auf den felsigen Hängen der Hügel die "Zypresse der Kordilleren" zu beobachten, eine der wenigen existierenden Konfieren des Landes. Eine große Attraktion sind "Los Rodados de San Gabriel"
Ort, der aus der Notwendigkeit entstanden ist, natürliche Weiden zu haben, um die Tiere zu füttern, die von der Bergkette herabgekommen sind. An diesem Ort können Sie eine wunderschöne Landschaft genießen, die Sie zum Reisen und Betreten des Sektors einlädt, um mehr Kontakt mit der Natur zu haben

Great view of the Andes and worth the ticket price. It is very cold in the winter, bring a hat and scarf and thick socks. I was expecting to visit native cottage industry shops during the traditional folk picnic, but it was more Spanish influence. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and kept us on schedule. The stop at the chocolate store was very crowded. While it was nice to have a little something sweet after lunch, there was little time to enjoy it since it took so long to get through the line. Same with the goat cheese stop. I would have preferred one or the other and spent a little more time, or had the tour last a little longer to include both.

I had never been to Chile and this was the perfect tour. it allowed me to see the city, countryside and mountains as well as make some friends on the van. I was a little worried about the reservation and how they contact you the night before the trip to let you know your pickup time, but other than that, everything was great (even the food at the lunch spot that I saw mixed reviews on). The driver/guide, Gonzalo, was great. he was socialbe, informed and readily answered any/all questions in English and Spanish. he was also very helpful with pictures and letting us know where to get the best photo. also, when i was researching this tour, i noticed several reviewers commented on the driving/speed and paying for the bathroom. did the speed seem faster than I would drive a van in some areas. . . yes. BUT, Gonzalo always managed the speed and I always felt safe and think its moreso about perspective and important to remember that a) these drivers are very familiar with the road, and b) countries have different "unspoken" road rules that as a tourist we may not know. Regatding the bathrooms, there are no bathrooms while you are walking around the mountain but the one that you stop at after hiking and before lunch that charges you a minimal fee. side note: I did not get coffee at the first stop (which is also the 1st bathroom break) and could have done without the stop at the chocolate/candy shop before heading back to the city but realize this was all part of the experience. and remember it will be colder in the mountains . . .

Great day trip worth doing from Santiago - our guide Edison was excellent and very clear on what was happening. Good tight itinerary without feeling rushed - enough time to go for a short easy (4km return) hike to the reservoir, which was worth it. Edison was clear on options / timing / recommendations - I would have been confident bringing people of different abilities on this trip. The drive is beautiful, so even though it is a long time in a van the time is well spent. If doing this trip in winter bring warm layers for outdoor hike (areas in the shade can be cold, everything warms up quickly once the sun is out) - I wish I’d worn thermal leggings under my jeans - but you can rent warm clothing if you don’t have with you at the coffee stop en route. Check the weather forecast before you go to make sure you get your clothing right - the day definitely warms up, but if it was windy I can see it getting even colder! Overall trip significantly exceeded expectations - you’re on a well-trodden tourist trail, but it didn’t feel too contrived or generic, and the stops were good (including the lunch spot, which was much higher quality and nicer to be at than the sorts of places often where group tours end up). Slight issue with pick-up at start of day, but company clearly communicated what was happening, and Edison did a great job of making sure that didn’t affect our overall day / timing.
