Bushman Walk mit den San in Windhoek

Beschreibung

The Bushman Walk offers a fascinating insight into the lives, traditions, and resilience of the San people. The four gentlemen who shared their knowledge were phenomenal, incredibly knowledgeable, and wonderfully humorous, making the experience both educational and entertaining. The San guides were warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about sharing their culture. They taught us about their traditional way of life, including the plants they use for food and medicine, their hunting techniques, and the challenges they have faced throughout history. For a few hours, it felt as though we had stepped into another world and gained a much deeper understanding of their heritage, culture, and hardships. What makes this experience even more meaningful is that the guides are part of the non-profit organization Human Dreams Namibia, which does outstanding work providing comprehensive care and support for children with disabilities. By taking part in the Bushman Walk, you are not only enjoying an authentic and eye-opening cultural experience but also supporting a worthy cause that positively impacts the local community. This enriching experience leaves a lasting impression and is perfect for anyone looking to go beyond the usual tourist attractions and learn directly from people who have lived this remarkable way of life. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Bushman Walk was an absolute highlight of our stay in Windhoek. The San who guided us through the savanna were incredibly friendly and warm, and you could immediately tell how much they enjoy sharing their knowledge. They explained a lot to us about their way of life – from plants they use for food or as medicine, to their traditional hunting methods. You really get the feeling of immersing yourself in another, very old world for a few hours. For anyone looking for an authentic and educational excursion off the beaten tourist path, this is absolutely recommended. Highly recommended!
Learn the lifestyle of Bushman tribe. Despite it is tourist purpose, they make the money for good use, they help their children for all aspect especially in education.
This is a great experience for a small group ( my wife and I). The emphasis is on understanding the culture not seeing animals. Great value for the money.
This was an easily accessible way to learn about San culture. The San acted and explained in their language which was translated by a San guide.
An experience not to be missed, simple, without frills, that clearly shows the lifestyle of these Bushmen in just 2 hours…
Great experience! Anytime again! Everyone should do this if they are in Windhoek or the surrounding area.
This was a wonderful experience. We learned so much about the San people and how they survive. The woman who organized this, Nicole, is amazing in her own right. Highly recommend!
A must do experience to meet the San and their beautiful families. Nicole is an amazing human for facilitating this & other projects. Very humbling.
This attraction is good for the tourist that may not have the time or ability to travel to the area of the San bushmen. The Human Dreams farm rotates a group of San bushmen through the property. We watched 3 male hunters demonstrate their hunting techniques including how their poisoned darts are made. How omelettes are made in ostrich eggs and heard about various traditions including the unique marriage proposal. A symbolic dart into the prospective bride’s backside. They spoke in their clicking language and it was translated by a guide also from the same group. One of the hunters was his brother. The hunters wore traditional dress, and they were incredibly lean not an ounce of fat on them due to hours hunting and tracking in the bush and of course their diet.
