Bukit Lawang Berastagi 4 Tage 3 Nächte Vulkan & Dschungel Trekking

I cannot recommend this trip enough! We went as a group of 4 women - we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt completely safe the whole trip. The itinerary is well organised, the team is punctual, while still leaving room for flexibility depending on your preferences. Our guides were exceptional - I could not recommend them enough! They are knowledgeable, humble, engaging, and warm. It is clear that they are passionate about what they do, and that they prioritise the environment and their guests. They shared many personal stories that made the trip all the more memorable. They communicated well and were happy to answer any questions that we had. Bukit Lawang trek - our trek ended up being about 4 hours total, including time to stop and see orang utans, before we stopped for lunch. We were very lucky to spot 5 on our trek. We have all hiked quite a bit in Southeast Asia, but it was really special to see the orang utans in the wild. Mt Sibayak - it ended up raining on this morning, so we didn't get much of a view, but we enjoyed our time regardless! It can get wet and muddy. It is a bit steep in some places but generally it is a light trek to the top. Highly recommend this trip - it is well worth the price considering how much fun we had and that the team plans basically all of the logistics for you. The stories they shared from their own trekking experiences made the trip extremely memorable. It is very clear that they are passionate about their work and prioritise the environment and their guests. Since we did the Mt Sibayak hike in November, we had a rainy day where we couldn't see much from the top. We still had a great time, but something to note! I would definitely book with this team again for future trips to the area :)

Group of 8 from Singapore. Customized 6 days 5 night itinerary. Highlights included wildlife spotting in Bukit Lawang - we were thrilled to have close encounters with Orang Utans. Wonderful service from the guides, who were very experienced and also prepared a wonderful fruit picnic in the middle of the jungle. Rafting down the Bohorok river was relaxing and fun although the rapids were very tame. Another highlight was the sunrise hike up to Mt Sibayak. It was a cloudy morning but we were lucky to have a couple of chances to take some fabulous photos when the clouds cleared momentarily. Puhut Bukit was also wonderful- stunning views of Lake Toba. All in, a fantastic trip. Thanks to Hendra and his team.

We did a customised 5 night/6 day with pick up from the airport by our guides Anggi and driver Rizky. 5 hour drive to to Bukit Lawang but we stopped for food, breaks and atm. Basically anything we needed was accommodated. Anggi was very passionate and knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. We did the 2 day 1 night jungle trek with Hendrik and Jo Jo who were brilliant guides. We saw Orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, pig tail monkeys and a gibbon + a hornbill and a monitor lizard (and leaches, termites and ants!) the food was amazing and plentiful. Delicious fresh fruit stops during the trek. It was high season so we did see some other groups so ideally visit in off season. It was my birthday and the team made a birthday crown out of leaves and flowers and brought out a cake and fruit platter in the morning and sang happy birthday! The jungle taxi was great fun. We then travelled up to Berestagi for the volcano trek. It was a little challenging to get up for 4am after being in the jungle for 2 days but it was only an hour and a half to get to the top and worth it! Next to lake toba, traditional village and traditional clothes making. There is a lot of driving in between each place but it’s worth it to see all the different places. Can’t fault any of the guides and Hendra, the organiser even came to meet us at the hotel in Berestagi to make sure everything was ok.

We walked through the jungle to find the orangutans while Anggi was with us The tour leaders where brilliant and the place to have lunch very good They explained everything about the story of the life of the orangutan We saw a few of them and it was amazing to see there life It’s a beautiful experience Super recommended

Both guides were lovely, really knowledgeable about their areas! The driver for all 4 days was also great, although the Sumatran roads are quite unpredictable he did a great job driving them, especially the road up to Mount Sibayak It’s worth knowing this travel company hosts trips that are just for the booking. So you won’t be in a group if you travel solo, which I found slightly surprising as for things like this previously I’d always been in a larger group. I can see why they’d choose to do this, although personally I’d have preferred to be with others doing the same tour. The hotels they choose are okay, worth remembering you are in the jungle and it’s still not a very touristy place so the options are limited. Only reason I dropped it a mark was for the organisation prior to the trip. I think for the price it would have been nice to receive some communication beforehand of the itinerary, who will pick you up from the airport, and what the times involved in the drives are etc.

Excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend this conpany and this tour. Everything for extremely well organised by Hendra and all guides (Henri, Jojo and Anggi) and the driver (Riski) were superb, highly accomplished, hard working and great company. Great views of orangutans in the wild amd a superb time on the volcanoes.
