Wir sehen die Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, den Brooklyn Bridge Park und das Lagerhausviertel DUMBO. Nach einer kurzen Tour durch das Rathausgebiet rollen wir über die Brooklyn Bridge mit Stopps für die perfekten Fototermine der wunderschönen Skyline der Wall Street. Während ich dort bin, werde ich historische Einblicke in die Zwillingsikonen des New Yorker East River geben: die Manhattan Bridge und die Brooklyn Bridge. Wir fahren weiter zu den charmanten Brownstone-Straßen von Brooklyn. Nach einem Halt an der wunderschönen Promenade schlendern wir durch NYCs neuesten, innovativsten und schönsten 85 Hektar großen Spielplatz am Wasser, den Brooklyn Bridge Park (erst 2010 eröffnet). In den schäbig-schicken Versand- und Lagervierteln von DUMBO, Vinegar Hill und Brooklyn Navy Yard wird es jede Menge Stopps und Fototermine geben. Sie erhalten einen Einblick in die Geschichte der Schifffahrtsindustrie von Brooklyn, die einst an diesen Docks und Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen gedieh.

Der neueste Park von NYC befindet sich unter der Brücke. Eröffnet im Jahr 2010 und noch im Aufbau begriffen, ist dieser 85 Hektar große Park eine postindustrielle Umnutzung von sechs verlassenen Schifffahrtsstegen.
DUMBO war einst ein pulsierendes Schifffahrts- und Industriezentrum mit vielen Lagern aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Es wurde heute als glamouröses Viertel wiedergeboren, das gleichzeitig schillernd und grob ist.
Wir kehren zur Manhattan Bridge zurück und haben einen fantastischen Blick auf North Brooklyn, Queens und den East River.
Wir kehren über den East River Park zum Geschäft zurück und schwingen uns durch Teile von Chinatown und den historischen South Street Seaport.

The ride it self was not hard and Scott rode at our pace the history of Brooklyn and the bridge was very informative and Scott was great at it.

We had a wonderful experience on a personal guided tour across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Our guide, Scott, was a friendly and engaging person who shared many fascinating stories—not only about the bridge’s origins, but also about the DUMBO area and much more. He took his time to make the tour special, even helping us take photos together along the way, which we really appreciated. It felt relaxed, personal, and very informative. This is truly a great tour, and we would highly recommend it—definitely a five-star experience!

Meeting point was easy to find and our tour guide Scott was waiting for us. The bikes were of good standard and an assistant made adjustments to ensure a comfortable ride height. Helmets were provided !. Scott introduced himself and explained tour route. As long as you posess a reasonable level of fitness, you will enjoy the tour , plenty of stops and opportunities to take photos. Scott provided lots of historical information about Brooklyn and showed many locations we were unaware of. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend.
