Treten Sie ein in die Welt der Brontës auf dieser Tagestour in sehr kleiner Gruppe von York aus. Greg, Ihr freundlicher und begeisterter Fortgeschrittener, führt Sie durch die wunderschöne Landschaft von Yorkshire ins Brontë-Land. Der erste Halt ist an der Stelle der Thorpe Green Hall, wo Anne eine Gouvernante war, dann fahren wir nach einer kurzen Komfortpause weiter nach Saltaire und den historischen Salt Mills. Greg bringt uns dann zum Geburtshaus der Brontë (Eintritt inklusive), wo Greg eine persönliche und spannende Führung in dem Familienhaus anbietet, in dem die berühmten Geschwister aufgewachsen sind. Wir reisen dann nach Haworth, hier genießen Sie zwei freie Stunden, um durch die Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen zu schlendern, charmante Geschäfte zu durchsuchen, einen Kaffee zu genießen und das Brontë Parsonage Museum zu besuchen. Der Tag endet mit einem Ausflug auf den Penistone Hill mit weitem Blick in Richtung Top Withens. Der Eintritt in das Geburtshaus und das Pfarrhausmuseum von Brontë ist inbegriffen und sorgt für einen spannenden und unvergesslichen Tag. Eine kurze Ruhe-/Komfortpause
Hier haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das UNESCO-Kulturerbe des von Titus Salt geschaffenen „Musterdorfes“ zu besuchen, um während des Jahres 1850 eine hochwertige Gemeinde zu schaffen. Auch eine Chance, die Salzmühlen zu besuchen. Es handelt sich um eine riesige Textilmühle, die einen Einblick gibt, wie sich die industrielle Periode in der Zeit der Brontes veränderte. Jetzt eine Kunstgalerie, die David Hockney Arbeiten zeigt, Antiquitätenläden, ein Diner und Einzelhandelsgeschäfte.
Das Geburtshaus in der Bronte war das Bullding, in dem Charlotte, Emily, Anne und Branwell geboren wurden. Das Haus ist heute ein facettenreiches Kulturzentrum, das Königin Camilla 2025 offiziell wiedereröffnet hat. Greg wird Ihr Fortgeschrittener sein, wenn wir dieses Kulturerbe besuchen. Willkommen in Haworth, im Herzen des Landes Brontë. Ihr heutiger Besuch beinhaltet den Eintritt in das Brontë Parsonage Museum, das ehemalige Zuhause von Charlotte, Emily und Anne Brontë. In diesem bescheidenen Steinhaus wurden Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights und Der Mieter von Wildfell Hall geschrieben. Das Pfarrhaus steht an der Spitze des Dorfes neben der Kirche und am Rande des offenen Moores, eine Kulisse, die das Schreiben der Schwestern tief beeinflusst hat. Ein Großteil von Haworth hat seinen historischen Charme bewahrt, und wenn Sie durch die Straßen gehen, spüren Sie immer noch die Atmosphäre des 19. Jahrhunderts. Nehmen Sie sich Zeit, um das Pfarrhaus und die Umgebung des Dorfes zu genießen, und nutzen Sie Ihren Besuch in dieser einzigartigen und inspirierenden literarischen Umgebung.

From the moment we left York, Greg began to tell us the story of the Bronte family. Stopping at various places along the way, including the birth place of Emily, Ann and Charlotte, we arrived at Haworth - a beautiful town with so much Bronte history. Here we visited the Parsonage museum and the many quaint shops along the high street. We had a pub lunch at The Old Sun Inn - great food and not as busy as tge town centre pubs. All together an excellent day out

Great day out tour. Greg (our tour guide) is very knowledgeable about the areas en route to the destinations. The Brontë birthplace is lovely ( and you can actually stay in the original bedrooms). Onwards to Haworth which is atmospheric and will not have changed much since the sisters were in residence. Wonderful place to wander around with individual shops and eateries. (Make sure to visit The Cabinet of Curiosities for amazing candles, soaps & perfumes) All in all a full- on day with lots to see and do. The groups are small, so easy to ask questions. I’ve previously done the Whitby trip with All Tours Great and Small and can highly recommend.

A great day out, Greg our guide made the whole experience very enjoyable with some great stories and interesting facts about the Brontë family. The highlight was Heworth itself, the cobbled streets and the parsonage museum were fantastic, so much history. Loved it.

What an amazing day, Greg took us back in time to experience the life of the Brontë family, visiting their birth place, with lots of interesting stories about the sisters and their journey to fame. Haworth has stood still in time with all the original landmarks still standing. The parsonage museum was fabulous and Greg covered the cost for the entry fee. The curiosity shop sells lovely scented candles soaps etc.., a really wonderful experience for any Brontë enthusiasts. Highly recommend
