We had an exceptional food tour with Daniella in Bratislava. There were several factors that made this such a positive experience for us. First there was the food tour itself which provided a variety of tastings that allowed us to experience a range of foods and beverages in a diversity of settings that Daniella skillfully linked to various aspects of Slovakian culture. She also effortlessly folded in references to key historical facts that greatly enhanced the presentation of the foods/beverages that were presented. The tour is well balanced, interesting, delicious and informative. But even more than this, we appreciated Daniella so much because our time in Bratislava was truly brief. We were on a train coming from Vienna and we had about 4 hours in Bratislava before having to catch our next train to Budapest. It was very tight and made all the tighter but the fact that our train from Vienna was delayed. This should have tanked our tour but Daniella worked quickly to arrange for a private driver to pick us up and bring as back to the train station which not only saved us critical time but it also allowed us to keep our bags safely during the tour. She literally saved our day and made it possible for us to have this tour during our brief window of time in Bratislava. We highly recommend this tour and Daniella as you will have the benefit of a very enjoyable experience that lets you experience various kinds of Slovakian cuisine while learning interesting historical and cultural facts from a guide who is skillful, knowledgable, kind, and extremely resourceful.

We enjoyed our food walking tour of Bratislava. Our local guide, Sylvia, was passionate about Slovakia, knowledgeable and so friendly. While we walked from place to place she shared the history of Bratislava and Slovakia, and what it’s like to live in this beautiful country. Sylvia took us to places that we would never have come across ourselves. A warning - don’t eat breakfast before this tour! We enjoyed potato bread with sheep cheese spread, and crackling spread, had a delicious lunch of roast duck breast, potato pancake and more in a former monastery, sampled the Pressburg bajgel etc, before sitting in a atmospheric bar with cold drinks. Thankyou Sylvia for most enjoyable tour!
Our guide, Daniela, was excellent. Gave us a wonderful overview of the traditional food dishes as well as information about various city sites as we visited. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience a variety of traditional foods, wines and beers
Dear Micah, Thank you SO much for this amazing review! Sharing our traditions and favorite local spots with you was truly a pleasure, and I’m so happy the tour gave you a great overview of both the cuisine and the sights. You’re always welcome back for more foodie adventures in Bratislava — I still have plenty of flavors left to show you! Warmest greetings, Daniela
We loved our Bratislava traditional food tour. Our guides were so knowledgeable and full of energy. We experienced local market, visited multiple restaurants and shops. Everything was so fresh and delicious and people were amazing. My daughter said that she tasted the best food ever in Bratislava.
Dear Vladimir, Thank you so much for the lovely review. It sounds like you truly embraced Bratislava through its best storytellers - our food and the people who make it. We are delighted that the mix of the market, local restaurants, and specialty shops showed you a delicious side of the city that visitors often miss. And your daughter’s comment absolutely made us smile. When someone says they found their best food ever here, we know the tour did exactly what it was meant to do. There are still many more flavors waiting for you here in Bratislava, so we hope you’ll come back one day for another round of discoveries. Warm regards, The Taste Bratislava team
Great experience with good information about history of Bratislava along with some great food and drinks. Andrea our Guide was personable and Friendly.
Today my husband and I went on a brilliant private traditional food tour with our superb guide Daniela. We absolutely loved it! Daniela was very knowledgeable about everything to do with Bratislava. She brought us to places off the beaten track where we sampled a variety of local foods, beer and wine. My favourite was the crispy duck leg with gnocchi, sauce and bacon with red cabbage which we sampled in an old monastery next to a hospital. We learnt so much about the history of Bratislava from Daniela which made our trip here much more meaningful. I would highly recommend this tour and want to say thanks again for an exceptional experience. 10 out of 10 for Taste Bratislava tour and our wonderful guide Daniela.
Bratislava is a great little city and this food tour is an excellent way to orientate yourself with the town and learn about Slovakian cuisine, history and culture. Right from the start we knew that this was going to be an excellent tour and it didn't disappoint. Great food and drink, excellent tips which enabled the rest of our stay in Bratislava to be a memorable experience. Highly recommended!
Thank you for a great Food tour, we all enjoyed the walk, the Food and especially Our guide. She had a lot of knowledge and patience to answer all our questions, and her Swedish was excellent and easy to understand. The tour was well organized and you showed us places we would never found by ourselves, and gave us some memorable tastes.
Dear Ingrid! Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and your group enjoyed the food tour, the walk, and especially the guidance provided by our friendly tour guide Denisa. It’s great to know that her knowledge, patience, and excellent Swedish made the experience even more enjoyable for you. We take pride in organizing our tours to ensure that guests not only taste the best local flavors but also discover hidden gems they might not find on their own. We're delighted that we could provide you with some memorable culinary experiences. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon!
Silvia was the most extraordinary guide! Warm, knowledgeable, and full of keen insights, she took us to a wonderful variety of pubs, markets, and restaurants. Her choices provided us great opportunities to experience the cuisine of Bratislava. The next day we returned to three of the sites we visited with her. Not only were the foods absolutely delicious and memorable but we received a first rate history of Bratislava. Silvia also introduced us to the beverages of Slovakia. It was truly worthwhile and I would enthusiastically encourage anyone to book a tour with Silvia.
