Unser erstes Ziel ist die Touristenstadt Sinaia, in der sich das Schloss Peles befindet. Um dorthin zu gelangen, müssen wir das Prahova-Tal durchqueren und die eleganten Bergorte Predeal, Azuga und Busteni auf der Straße, die den wirbelnden Prahova-Fluss überquert, hinter uns lassen. Vor Ihren Augen öffnet sich eine atemberaubende Naturschönheit, aber die spektakulärste Aussicht ist von Busteni aus, wo Sie die höchsten Gipfel der Bucegi-Berge bewundern können: den Caraiman-Gipfel, den Costila-Gipfel und den Omu-Gipfel. Ankunft in Sinaia, einem ehemaligen Adelsresort, wo wir das Schloss Peles besichtigen, die Sommerresidenz der ehemaligen rumänischen Königsfamilie. Das Schloss Peles ist eines der schönsten Museen in Rumänien und wurde in fast 40 Jahren von König Karl 1 erbaut.

Das Schloss Peles ist eines der schönsten Museen Rumäniens und wurde in fast 40 Jahren von König Karl 1 erbaut.
Auf dem Weg zur Burg Bran finden Sie eines der ältesten Klöster des Landes, das Kloster Sinaia. Mit einer Geschichte, die 300 Jahre zurückreicht und von einer besonderen Beziehung zur königlichen Familie geprägt ist, ist dieses altehrwürdige Kloster dank seiner zwei Kirchen, die 150 Jahre voneinander entfernt gebaut wurden, ein Muss.
Wir setzen unseren Ausflug zum berühmten Bran Castle fort. Um dorthin zu gelangen, müssen wir durch das Prahova-Tal gehen und die eleganten Bergorte Predeal, Azuga und Busteni zurücklassen, die ständig eine hohe Anzahl rumänischer und ausländischer Touristen anziehen, auf der Straße, die den wirbelnden Fluss Prahova überquert. Atemberaubende natürliche Schönheit wird vor Ihren Augen geöffnet, aber die spektakulärste Aussicht ist von Busteni, wo Sie die höchsten Gipfel des Bucegi-Gebirges bewundern können: Caraiman Peak, Costila Peak und Omu Peak. Es wird auch Draculas Burg genannt und befindet sich am Eingang des Bran-Rucar-Passes. Das Denkmal ist eine bemerkenswerte Architektur und wurde zwischen 1377-1382 auf einem Felsen von 60 m errichtet. Nach dem Besuch der Burg Bran besuchen Sie ein lokales Restaurant mit frischem Salat, traditionellen Suppen, leckerem Sarmale, Fleisch, Huhn, Gemüse und anderen regionalen Gerichten (Getränke und Mahlzeiten auf eigene Kosten). Traditionelles Mittagessen kann im Dorf Bran arrangiert werden.
Besuchen Sie die Festung Rasnov, die im 13. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde, vielleicht die bezauberndste von allen! Die Festung ist die größte in Siebenbürgen und eine der am besten erhaltenen in Rumänien. Schönes Panorama über Barsa Land von der Spitze der Festung.

Alina was such a fantastic guide for us. She really knew her stuff and was totally engaging telling us all about the history of the places we went to plus about her own experiences of growing up in Romania during pivotal times in the country's recent history. We got held up in traffic for a large part of the day but she made sure we still saw and enjoyed all parts of the tour. Would highly recommend. There may be some tickets that you require on top of the tour booking so do check this as soon as you are able as they may sell out during peak times of the year.

Our guide, Alina, was truly amazing - not only was she super friendly and respectful, but her deep knowledge of Romanian history and culture was impressive. Excellent day with an excellent guide. Marius was very informative and accommodating. We learned so much from the day and had excellent food too thanks to Marius. Would highly recommend this activity. Visiting these places would not be the same experience without the local guides to give the history. We also received history and information on local buildings and areas on route to these castles/fortress.

Bogdon was a great guide — he’s very informative and has a good sense of humor. He also was flexible and gave good suggestions when it came to having some free time to ourselves and avoiding crowded times at the tourist sites. We were fortunate to have him as our guide and that we ended up being the only two people in what would’ve otherwise been a small group, so it felt like a private tour. Râşnov Fortress is still undergoing renovations at the time, so we were not able to explore the inside.

I highly recommend this tour. Not only do you see several castles and a monastery but you do it with a guide who knows the best parking areas, has an excellent understanding of the history of the area and speaks English extremely well.
