Zu einer Zeit auf den Cayman Islands, als die meisten Menschen in winzigen, mit Stroh gedeckten Häusern lebten, schuf ein reicher Engländer mit Sklavenarbeit aus Jamaika ein erstaunliches dreistöckiges Gebäude namens Pedro St. James. In den 1990er Jahren kaufte die Regierung der Kaimaninseln Pedro St. James und restaurierte das Große Haus sorgfältig in den Glanz seines Erbes aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Heute können Besucher durch das imposante Gebäude mit seinen antiken Möbeln und authentischen Artefakten schlendern und erleben, wie das Leben in der Geschichte von Cayman vor so langer Zeit war.

South Terminal Bitte beachten Sie, dass Kreuzfahrtschiffe, die in Grand Cayman ankern, ein kleines Boot, ein sogenanntes Tender, benötigen, um an Land zu gelangen. Es ist wichtig, sich frühzeitig für Ausschreibungen anzumelden, da es bis zu 60 Minuten dauern kann, um an Land zu gehen. Wenn Ihr Schiff zum Royal Watler Terminal ausschreibt : Ihre Tour startet vom Royal Watler Cruise Terminal aus. Nach dem Aussteigen verlassen Sie bitte die Sicherheitskontrolle und gehen weiter geradeaus entlang der Uferpromenade. Bitte gehen Sie zum letzten Zelt mit weißem Baldachin und suchen Sie nach dem CAYTOURS Schild. Der lokale Vertreter wartet dort, um Sie einzuchecken. Wenn Ihr Schiff zum Nord-Terminal oder Süd-Terminal ausschreibt: Ihre Tour beginnt im Inneren des Royal Watler Cruise Terminals, das etwa 3 bis 5 Gehminuten vom Tender Pier entfernt ist. Bitte fragen Sie beim Aussteigen die Hafensicherheit nach dem Weg zum Royal Watler Terminal. Dort angekommen, verlassen Sie die Sicherheitskontrolle und gehen weiter geradeaus entlang der Uferpromenade. Bitte gehen Sie zum letzten Zelt mit weißem Baldachin und suchen Sie nach dem CAYTOURS Schild. Dort wartet der örtliche Vertreter. Bei schlechtem Wetter und Tendering Ihres Schiffes zum Spotts Dock : Ihre Tour startet direkt vom Spotts Dock. Nach dem Aussteigen bleiben Sie bitte am Spotts Dock und suchen Sie nach dem lokalen Vertreter, der ein CAYTOURS-Schild zur einfachen Identifizierung hält. Um eine reibungslose Abreise zu gewährleisten, planen Sie bitte, mindestens 15 Minuten vor der geplanten Abfahrtszeit am vorgesehenen Treffpunkt einzutreffen. Übernachten in einem Hotel oder Airbnb? Wir holen von allen Hotels und Unterkünften am Seven Mile Beach ab. Bitte teilen Sie uns vorab Ihren Standort mit, damit wir die richtigen Vorkehrungen treffen und eine rechtzeitige Abholung gewährleisten können.

The tour group was very accommodating when the ship's tender arrived at a different port... they met us there. We had to wait an hour for other people, who never showed up. We didn't have enough time at the botanical gardens. The Pedro St James tour was fabulous and our guide was excellent.

We enjoyed the tour immensely. Our guide, Victor shared so much about Cayman. We all appreciated learning about the island, its history. The historian at St. James Castle is a treasure! He has so much to share - I would love to have him to dinner and keep talking! Queen Elizabeth Garden is gorgeous. The traditional house and the Colorful Trail were a highlight. We saw iguanas, parrots, a snake, and many other local birds while walking around. It is very hot - so be prepared. If I were able to do this again, I would pack a light lunch and have it in the gazebo. Overall - the tour was great. We did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy it.

The Botanic Park has beautiful gardens. We also got to see many rare and endangered blue iguanas. Pedro St James was an interesting historic sight. We learned about some of the history and culture of Grand Cayman on this excursion.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to walk around much because of a recent knee replacement but they totally took care of me. Hall drove us around in a golf cart so I could see everything & made stops along the way so I could get out & see the beautiful flowers up close. We loved our tour.

An interesting way to learn more about Grand Cayman. Very much enjoyed the botanical gardens. I wished we'd had more time there. It was a long ride from our hotel and so we had only an hour to tour the gardens before having to leave for the tour of Pedro St. James Castle. We learned a lot about the history of the island watching the intro film there. Tour of the house/castle brief and oddly focused on the furniture.

This was a very lovely tour. We were most fortunate to have Trisha as our tour guide. She was truly a Pedro St. James Castle historian. so animated and excited to give us so much information about the tour we almost lost track of time. I truly recommend this tour and ask for Trisha. She was amazing.

The Botanical Park is wonderful. Many flowers. Laid out nicely. Not hard to walk through. The gift shop is very nice also. Pedro St. James was a nice historical stop to give you an idea of the history of Grand Cayman. Highly recommend.
