Lagos Grotto Trips nimmt Sie mit zu den Höhlen von Benagil, die zwischen Praia do Carvoeiro und Armação de Pêra liegen und zu den Top 10 der berühmtesten Höhlen Europas zählen! Wir verlassen den Yachthafen von Lagos, fahren an Alvor, Portimão und Carvoeiro vorbei und genießen den Blick auf die wunderschönen Strände und die Küste der Algarve. Zunächst besuchen wir die Höhlen von Carvoeiro und schließlich die berühmtesten Höhlen der Welt – die Algar de Benagil. Die Höhlen sind mit ihrem klaren Wasser und ihren unvergleichlich schönen Felsformationen wirklich atemberaubend – ein Erlebnis, das Ihnen ein Leben lang in Erinnerung bleiben wird! Unsere Tour findet in einem brandneuen Festrumpf-Schlauchboot (RIB) mit 18 Sitzplätzen statt, dessen gepolsterte Sitzbänke für echten Komfort während der Fahrt sorgen. Alle unsere Touren werden von erfahrenen Reiseleitern begleitet, die einen sehr persönlichen Service bieten, da jeder einzelne unserer Kunden für uns und unser Unternehmen wichtig ist.

Speed boat to the caves
We had a great time in the tour. The boat was very fast but also super smooth. The driver made sure to turn in both directions so that everyone got a view. The helper took photos for the group which was nice.

The team share all the highlights and safety awareness. We visited beautiful spots and we watched dolphins. We had a great time!

Fast, fun, yet safe
The tour was great fun. We were a little anxious about the zodiac ride, but it was really fun, and even at high speed felt really safe. The guide was a hoot and the caves were incredible

Cave and cliff water boat tour
Great experience on the water tour! The guide had a great sense of humor, boating to the caves and cliff side was thrilling, and I really enjoyed learning about the names and background of each cave. I would highly recommend this tour!

Don't use this tour group ! At least they could contact you if they cancel
Terrible experience! Never received a text or email that the trip was canceled. Drove 45 minutes to arrive, hard to find the location, to find out nobody was there to greet us, and oh by the way, the only way to know it was canceled was by logging into the app. Completely unacceptable.

When a Benagil tour has to be cancelled, particularly due to sea or operational conditions, we understand how important it is for guests to receive clear and timely information before travelling to the meeting point. Driving 45 minutes only to discover through the booking platform that the excursion had been cancelled is understandably frustrating. Regardless of the reason for the cancellation, communication should be as clear as possible. Know What You’re Booking
If you are expecting a relaxing tour of the caves, this is not for you. Do not book the “VISIT TO BENAGIL” boat trip if you have anxiety, don’t enjoy adrenaline rushes, or generally like your life. If you enjoy salt water flying into your eyes while testing the limits of your hand grip strength and contemplating whether your will is up to date, you may have found your perfect excursion. The caves and coastline are beautiful, but the actual time slowing down and enjoying them was very short compared with the very fast ride there and back. No information about the caves was shared beyond their names. For me, the ride was miserable rather than fun. It was not comfortable, and the driver deliberately added a few maneuvers along the way that were clearly meant to add to the thrill. I did not need additional thrill. If bouncing across the water at high speed sounds exciting, this may be exactly your kind of trip. But if you’re picturing a relaxing, scenic boat ride where you can comfortably enjoy the coastline and caves, this is absolutely not that trip. Consider this a public service announcement for my fellow non-adrenaline people: choose a different tour. Your hands, eyeballs, and estate-planning attorney will thank you.

It’s an excellent way to...
It’s an excellent way to see the caves and if you are lucky like we were you will even see dolphins! Are skipper was amazing, he handled the boat with ease!

Fun trip to the Algarve...
Fun trip to the Algarve caves. Boat ride was fast and fun. We went at 11 am and there were many other boats and kayaks, so it was a bit crowded and we had to wait “in line” with the boat a few times. Guides were friendly.
