Bioluminescent Bay Kayak Trip von Vieques

Beschreibung

Arnaldo was amazing. He explained everything in great detail and had great knowledge not only about marine biology, but also about astronomy. Together the mixture of two made it a very knowledgeable hour and a half. He also gave tips on how to click photographs in the dark, making it special. P. S. You have to wade through mud, so if you’re uncomfortable with that, this tour may not be the best for you.
Apparently someone had hit their sign. so we were all standing around not knowing if we were in the right place. After that the van was defiantly in rough shape, and so is the road to get to the site where the kayaks are. the road has more to with the protected area.. Everyone goes down this one road. get ready for the smell and the muck in the mangroves where you launch from again not the tours fault just warning to be ready for it. The tour guides were amazing very knowledgeable and funny! What a beautiful experience we should protect for everyone! It’s as if you have a magic wand when you drag your hand in the water.
Do not do this. Very shady experience. We met our tour guide on the side of the road and got into a moldy and run-down black van. The tour guide even told us that the lake is a scam. Other tour guides had brought laser pointers to point out constellations but our tour guide said he forgot his. I am sure that there are other better options.
Tanks for the reviews. By the way we have all permits in order. Not a scam. We have the appropriate van for the job required between every mood salty potholes between mangroves roads. We have 3 vans and rotate them the condition of the government road to the bay cant be fix because DRNA sed , it wold affect the water moving to the Bio Bay and kill the organisms that make the bio bay glow. Bless.
Loved the experience, awesome people. Coming back in January 2027.
Great guide. Full of info and was super friendly.
Great experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable about everything from the science behind the bioluminescence to where the constellations are.
The MOST amazing experience of my life. Not only is the bioluminescence fascinating and beautiful but you are able to see and photograph the milky way as well. Diamonds above and below you💎 Staff was very knowledgeable, witty and great communicators. Kayaks were tandem so it is a perfect experience to go with a partner, child, or family for a night you will never forget. Bioluminescence is a little challenging to capture on phone camera but stars with maximum night mode setting are a great photo. 100% would do it again.
Me and my wife went with Martinez, with us being the only ones to book the trip. Couldn’t be happier with the experience, Martinez was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, I felt like I got a genuinely good experience. For those worried about the pickup/ ride, a little “different” but worth the experience. Got lots of info on stars and the bioluminescence, and the entire trip was very interactive. Shout out to Martinez!
I would recommend bio bay experience. Best to book during a new moon or as much darkness as possible to experience the full bioluminescence. Tour guide was very knowledgeable of the biology and ecosystems in addition to knowledge on constellations.
The tour guide Arnaldo was extremely knowledgeable about the bio bay marine biology and even the constellations that we were looking at. He also tied his rope to my kayak and helped me on the way back when my arms got tired from rowing . He took a tarp to cover us as it was a full moon and a little bright so the tarp really made a difference to see the organisms light up in the water!
