Bierverkostungstour in Luzern

Fabulous - me and my brother undertook this toor in September 2026 during a visit to Lucerne. My brother LOOOVES Beer - I drink it now and then. Despite this I was thoroughly entertained and amazed, firstly about the enormous variety of beer and secondly about Sandro, who captivates his audience with his vast amount of knowledge about beer history, brewing and the huge amount of different sort of beers. I will probably never entirely dig "sour beer" but I am walking away with a new respect for beer. Sandro is amazing. Generally the tour takes you to three different sites and we were lucky to start our tasting at an impromptu place lakeside. The weather was warm enough to sit there for a while and we were rewarded not only with our first three beers but also a gloriouos sunset. Sandro's knowledge does not only encompass beer. Wandering through the old town to our second stop he also shared stories and anecdotes about Lucerne. I can thoroughly recommend this tour and would do it again in a flash, after all - we only tasted a few beers out of the hundreds available.

We attended the Swiss Beer Tours Lucerne tour on Dec. 27, 2025. Sandro, our tour guide, was excellent. He had a great depth of knowledge about not only Swiss beers but beer brewing, generally. We have been on other beer tours in different parts of the world and this was one of the more informative we have experienced. Sandro took us to three places between the new and old town sections of Lucerne, each of which served local Swiss beers. And at least one of the spots became a favorite of ours for revisiting during our trip. :) We highly recommend this tour for those who enjoy beer and who want to try local options while learning about the history of beer brewing in Switzerland.
