Write a good headline for this review: My husband and I signed up for Anita Zachou’s 2-hour olive oil tasting seminar. I could focus this review on how beautifully she presented us with 8 olive oils for tasting. Or, I could talk about her informative and personalized presentation. I could even spend this whole review describing her passion and phd-level knowledge. However, I want to speak about how she permanently changed my perspective on olive oil: how to buy it, how to use it, and how to tell definitely of it is truly extra virgin olive oil. It is something so different to experience on Mykonos. My biggest takeaway you ask? All the olive oil I have been using at home is rancid. I thought that that was the natural smell of olive oil—it is not, my friend! Anita holds her seminar in Pili Beach restaurant and it is a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this!

This is one of the best experiences me and my friend had during our stay in Mykonos! Anita is such an intelligent and kind individual it would be impossible not to enjoy your time with her. We had no experience with olive oil tasting and left this 2 hour experience with more knowledge than we could have hoped for. It is clear that Anita has a serious passion for what she does and it is incredibly contagious, I will never look at EVOO the same way (thankfully!). Beyond blessed to meet Anita and experience this wonderful course! If you have the time you should definitely try this amazing experience!

A phenomenal experience teaching us all about olive oil. Something many people take for granted in the kitchen but through this program, we found a new appreciation for it. You will never look at olive oil the same again! Anita is a wonderful teacher and kept us very engaged with selections of olive oils and food pairings. A must-do in the island!

We knew when we were going to Greece we had to do an Olive Oil tasting. This was the perfect one in Mykonos! Loved that this was a private table at a very nice restaurant on the beach, so the view was very nice. I like that it was a small and intimate group where we got to work with Anita one on one directly. She is SO knowledgeable and passionate about Olive Oil and how it is being miss-marketed by distributors and makers. She really taught you how to nose and taste proper Extra Virgin Olive Oil while informing you on how good for you it is to have! It's upsetting to know that people are making it wrong and putting labels on things, but hopefully now that we did this tasting we wont be fooled! Would absolutely recommend this experience, plus, it was awesome that she paired it with everyday food items and you really taste the difference!

It was very informative and Anita was an expert on olive oil. I enjoyed tasting the olive oil with different foods that I never though of. Great workshop!!!

This was an excellent and very educational experience for my group. We were on a shore excursion while on cruise with Royal Carribean and booked this experience with Anita. Booking was very easy. Anita is very responsive and accommodating to all schedule changes. Anita herself is an expert in all things Olive Oil. She provided a very detailed overview of EVOO and was able to answer all our questions which ranged from agriculture, to the economics of the industry. We then proceeded to the tasting which had three parts. The first part was to identify good EVOO from bad ones. The second was a tasting of 5 different amazing olive oils from the Greece. The third was a pairing of these Oils with food. Anita was able to cater to our dietary needs as we were vegetarian and was able to give very good advice on how to use EVOO with a vegetarian diet. She prepared the food tastings accordingly as well! Anita herself is an extremely confident, and knowledgeable person whose passion absolutely shines as she's teaching you about the ways of EVOO and the Mediterranean Diet. We were convinced!! Would definitely do this experience next time I return to Mykonos!
