Besteigung des Toubkal

Beschreibung

Our trek to the summit of Mount Toubkal was truly memorable. Our guide Abdul was excellent – very friendly and attentive. He completely adjusted his pace to match ours and was especially helpful as we approached the summit and during the descent. We were also very pleased with the organisation: quick, direct transfers between Marrakech and Imlil with Amin, as well as the booking of the refuge and meals. Everything ran smoothly. Atlas Trek Explore is a reliable company that I highly recommend, and I will definitely call on them again for my next trek in the Atlas Mountains.
Organizational issues were clarified in advance. Considerate and nice tour guide, a bit childish. Food good downstairs, bad on the mountain hut. Sleeping accommodation: Common room, but was fit for purpose. Set off at 3:30 a.m. to see the sunrise at the top. Good suggestion from the tour guide. 5°C and windy. Sunrise was worth it. Walking back seemed very long and was tedious. Overall good experience.
The journey was great and our guide Mouad was excellent! He is excellent at keeping the pace of the group and got us sorted with great meals! I would definitely recommend doing this hike with them
We had a great time with our guide Mouad! His English was really good, and he took the time to try to teach us phrases in Arabic and Berber as we hiked. He handled all of the logistics for us, so that all we had to do was keep putting one foot in front of the other and enjoy the experience. The Refugio was simple but comfortable. We had plenty to eat and the beds were comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the WI-FI, cell service, and hot showers. I would recommend this hike to anyone who wants a challenging cultural experience. I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time as a female hiker.
Super experience climbing the Toubkal with Abdu. From the beginning he set the perfect pace and made both the climb and the descent super enjoyable. He can speak English perfectly, he is also super close, friendly and fun, all the way with his smile. Thank you very much Abdu for guiding us and making our way so easy. We wait for you in Barcelona, I will be very happy to make you a guide hehe ;)
Incredible trekking to the top of the Beautiful Toubkal. We did it with the best guide I've ever meet, Abdu, a young guy with a perfect English,is important the good communication in the mountains. He is a very experienced guy and do the trekking really funny. I started the trekking with a guide and I finished it with a friend. If you love the mountain you should contact with him to feel the Toubkal. Thanks Abdu for two amazing days in your beautiful mountains.
We are often on the road in the mountains and so it is only natural to climb the highest mountain in Morocco. After some searching, we decided to go with Atlas Tour Guide because of the reviews. It was the best choice ever. Abdul is an incredibly great guide. He speaks good English and told us a lot about the country and its people. He always adapted to our pace and is very caring. He knows the mountains almost by heart and we always felt in good hands. We can only recommend Abdul! He picked us up at our riad in the morning and the adventure could begin. On the first day, we went to the hut. We learned a lot about the area, the people and the history. The next morning we started at 4.30 a.m. to the summit. Although the sun was hiding behind the clouds, it was an incredible experience and a very special atmosphere to start in the dark and reach Mount Toubkal at dusk. On the way down, we climbed a second peak with a wrecked aeroplane on top. After resting a little at the hut, we climbed a pass in the afternoon, from where we had a great view. On the third day, we only had to descend and we were able to finish our trip in beautiful weather.
Our group had an incredible time hiking mount toubkal with Abdul. He met us the day before and took us to have lunch at a great spot, and made sure that we were prepared for the hike. He even brought us extra items that we didn’t have. Abdul was very patient and professional. Even though one person in our group got altitude sickness, he made sure to go at her pace and checked in with her often so that she could also make it up the mountain. The weather was too dangerous to make it all the way to the final summit, but Abdul still made it such a fun and enjoyable experience. We felt like we were in great hands the whole time. We highly recommend taking Abdul as your guide if you are doing the mount toubkal trek!
Toubkal peak looks more possible if you have the right guide. And Abdul is definitely the best one around.I was with Abdul for 2 days and that was the best time ever spent. He is made of steel and makes your hike amazing and fun. Speaks good English, which is a clear advantage over other guides in the mountain. He is young and has a lot to share too. We did the hike in 2 days and spoke to each other. He knows the mountain and the village in&out. He will help you with everything you want and will go an extra mile for it. Luckily the weather was also good. I highly recommend Abdul if you are ever planning to hike the mountain. He is available and always making your experience better. Best guide in Imlil.
Trip to the mountain Toubkal with guide Abdull. We are Dutch people living in Germany. An agency in Marrakech booked for my wife and me, a tour to the mountain Toubkal, highAtlas. At Sunday 25.09.2022 a driver from the agency, collected us at 10 o´clock at our Hotel in Marrakech, and brought us to Imlil. Our guide, Abdull was waiting for us, together with his friend Ibrahim and the mule. We packed our bagage on the mule additional to the food and cooking equipment that already was packed on the mule. Unfortiately, we had no appropriate equipement for the tour. Only walking boots. Than we went to a few shops, there we rented missing clothes. We found clothes that fitted, but we did not find waterproof clothes to rent. We rented cheap, but not waterproof. We started the first section of the tour to Toubkal, four hours hiking uphill to the refuge. It rained very much, so we got wet untill our skin. Halfway the tour, Ibrahim was waiting for us in a small mountain hut and cooked us a delicious meal. We could warm up with the dry cothes, the mule transported. After our halfway-rest, it rained even more. So when we arrived in the refuge, we were so wet, that all our clothes were saturated with water. We first changed to dry clothes and Ibrahim and Abdull coocked us the next delicious meal, that we very much enjoyed. Abdull and a friend of him helped us drying our clothes. At 22.00 o clock, we went to our sleepingroom. Here were 16 beds staked. We slept a little bit untill 2 o´clock. Then the first sleeping guests rised for theire Toupkal-tour. We started at 6 o clock, couldn´t sleep anymore becouse of the activities in the sleeping-room. At 5.30 o´clock, Abdull and Ibraham already prepaired our breakfast. Our clothes were dryed. So at 6 we started our Toubkal-tour. We started in the tour to the 4167 meters target, in the darkness, whit headlamps but dry. The rise is very steep and challenging. The air got thinner and thinner. It was very windy and cold.Abdull always set the right pace und we had several short brakes. Abdull was always motivating us to go further. He gave us dates and nuts and some warm tea. We passed the small Toubkal, heading for the Toubkal at 4167 meters, but at 4000 meters hight, the wind got too heavy for us and the air got so thin,we couldn´t get enough oxygen, so we decided to stop the climbing tour. Enjoyed the Panorama, made a break and headed back to the refuge. Here we had the next rest and at about 12 o´clock we had our meal and walked back to Imlil. On the way back to Imlil, Abdull arranged a riad near to Imlil, at Mazik, the village where he lives. Monday-Afternoon in the riad, we decided, we were to tired for the next tour that day and Abdull planed an easy trip for us for Tuesday. Tuesday, we visited a waterfall near Imlil, then sightseeing the surroundings Imlil with sight on the villages around Imlil. He told us a lot about life in the small villages. It was a beautifull and very interesting trip. At noon, we enjoyed our delicous meal in a privat location. Then at 2 o clock our driver picked us up, and brought us back to Marrakech. For us Abdull was a perfect guide. He was always very kind and helpfully. He made us feel good all the time. We learned a lot and always felt very safe around him. He is very young but already very experienced. Nobody could have done this job better than he did! Liesbeth and Peter
