Der Kairo-Turm gilt als eines der markantesten Wahrzeichen der ägyptischen Hauptstadt. Sein teilweise offenes Gitterwerk soll an eine Lotuspflanze erinnern. Der Kairo-Turm wurde von 1956 bis 1961 während der Präsidentschaft von Gamal Abdel Nasser mit sowjetischer Unterstützung erbaut. Der Kairo-Turm ist 187 m hoch und damit 50 m höher als die Große Pyramide von Gizeh und steht auf den Sockeln des Assuan-Granitsteins, den die alten Ägypter zum Bau ihrer Klöster und Pharaonentempel verwendeten. Er hat 16 Stockwerke und die Fahrt mit dem Fahrstuhl bis zum Ende des Turms dauert 45 Sekunden. Von der Spitze des Turms aus hat man ein vollständiges Panorama von Kairo mit den Pyramiden, den Fernsehgebäuden, der Sphinx, dem Nil, der Salah El-Din-Burg und der Azhar-Moschee. Es ist eine wunderbare und spektakuläre Aussicht auf Kairo. Es gibt ein Teleskop, mit dem man Ägypten in einem Augenblick besichtigen kann. Der Kairo-Turm gilt als architektonisches Meisterwerk, das Touristen nach Ägypten lockt.

Review of the Tour this evening. It was the badest Tour I ever made all over the world I have been. The guide has spoken in 5 hours max 10 sentences. He explained quasi nothing. The boat trip was ok but no felluke. The tour was named the most flexibel tour of Cairo. It was the most unflexibel tour! We should wait 1,5h to get at Cairo tower. The only idea the guide had to do in this 1,5 h was sitting on the stairs. After 1 h we ask for finish the tour or go for dinner. Wasn’t possible. To buy the tower tickets before boat trip the guide didn’t unterstood with his bad English. The dinner should be in a fast food restaurant near a Main Street, dirty and shabby. As a doctor, what I am, I would never recommend to my European patients to visit such a restaurant. Sickness and diarrhea will be guaranteed. So he took us to McDonalds. Which bad travel experience in Cairo. We have seen so many nice restaurants. We ask for a restaurant payed by ouerself. It wasn’t possible. I made 2 other tours with another company. Fantastic. They made also not everything perfect, but we got sorrys and all our wishes were fulfilled. Tomorrow we already booked another tour with your company, I hope it will be better…. We did the Cario city night tour with Abdul Rahman our tour guide. He was very polite , friendly and very helpful. Very knowledgeable and had good command on English so it was very easy to communicate with him. We did the complete city tour with him. The driver and the tour guide picked us from our hotel and our ride was a big air conditioned van that was very comfortable for our family. We were very happy with our tour guide. He made our trip very memorable. We would highly recommend him.
The drive to the Cairo tower was a little more interesting than what I wanted but the view from the top is worth it. The boat ride on the Nile was the most peaceful thing I did in Egypt.
The tour was very peaceful and pleasant. Our representative in Spanish was fantastic, took us to eat delicious typical food. It was so worth it. We recommend.
Our guide was 10 mins late but was nice enough. He got the tickets for the cairo tower for us at 11.40. Although you get a nice view that's it and the lift takes forever as it is operated by a lift person. He was insistent we got back to the van by 12.30 which was hard when it took over 5 mins for the lift to come. The felucca ride was nice but there was hardly any wind so we didn't go very far. The lunch was interesting a bit more of a view of the real Cairo . I think there are probably more interesting trips to on
