Agra Fort ist ein historisches Fort in der Stadt Agra, Indien. Es war die Hauptresidenz der Mogulkaiser bis 1638, als die Hauptstadt von Agra nach Delhi verlegt wurde. Die Marathen waren die letzten indischen Herrscher, die es hielten, bevor die Briten übernahmen. Das Fort Agra, neben den Gärten des Taj Mahal, ist ein bedeutendes Moguldenkmal aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, das auch als Rotes Fort von Agra bekannt ist. Dieses mächtige Fort aus rotem Sandstein umschließt mit seinen 2,5 km langen Mauern die Kaiserstadt der Mogulherrscher. Das einschüchternde Äußere des Forts verbirgt ein Paradies im Inneren.
Itmad-ud-Daulah, auch bekannt als Baby Taj, ist ein kleines, aber schönes Denkmal. Die Lage ist nicht weit von anderen Denkmälern entfernt; sie wurde zwischen 1622 und 1628 von Nur Jahan, der Frau des vierten Mogulkaisers Jahangir, erbaut. Es ist 7 km vom Taj Mahal entfernt, und die meisten Touristen besuchen diese Denkmäler tagsüber.

The Guide Jitu was excellent. He has been more than a family to us. Loved the way he toured us around Taj mahal, Agra Fort and the places around Agra having historical significance. He has an immense knowledge about history and of places around Agra.
The overall experience was amazing. As the tour guide Jithu took us to all the tourist locations while explaining in great detail the history of all the architecture. He answered all our questions and made the whole experience wonderful. Would recommend to everyone !

My visit was very good , specially the guide , jeetu he was one of a kind , his English was very good and he knew all the storys and were to stand for the most beautiful pictures. Even where is the coldest water after a long visit .
