Such a unique experience. The best day we had in Bermuda, everyone should join this excursion. The dry cave can get hot and definitely wear proper shoes, very slippery in the caves.
Pick up is right at Naval Dockyard. Super easy to find. Millet was our tour guide. Friendly and informative and full of knowledge pertinent to our experiences. Made sure we had everything we needed and everyone was safe. There was 13 total of us. 6 from my party and 7 from another party. Would say ages ranged from 6 to 66. Everyone was capable of doing everything. Loaded up in a van with backpacks provided that had a hard hat, headlamp and two water bottles. Yours to carry on the cave exploration and cliff jumping. Good to know so you can carry your own stuff in there as well. The ride was long. About an hour and my kids that don’t usually complain definitely had some car sickness. So Dramamine was given on the return trip. Caves were very cool but beware footwear is important. My kids 9 and 6 managed with Crocs and socks. The dry cave was slippery still. Wet cave swimming was really cool. Cold water but refreshing and felt great after the humid hike. Then a quick hike back to a swimming hole with two jump points 10 and 15 feet up. My kids did the 10 footer. Again keep shoes on because climbing out of the hole is rocky. After the jump. Short drive to an eatery for lunch. Kids loved chicken fingers. I had fried fish which was delicious. Also the island special ginger beer was deliciously refreshing. Also got a scoop of ice cream which was homemade! Grabbed snorkeling equipment at this point and another short drive down to Cooper Nature Reserve. A nice semi private beach for snorkeling. There’s a giant rock in the middle of the bay that has coral and fish swimming around. Perfect little snorkel trip. Also had a freshwater hose to wash off with after coming off the beach. About an hour 15 minute drive back to port. Every bit of 7 hours was used. No worries for us as our cruise ship was staying over night. Departed for excursion at 11 and back at base of ship by 6:15.
One of the best excursion's I’ve been on! So much fun, very informative. Our guide Milton was funny, personable, had a ton of knowledge about Bermuda. We were able to jump off and swim in a beautiful water cave, do a small hike and then jump off some cliffs into a blue water hole. Would recommend this excursion !
This is an amazing experience. All of the activities listed were great and above expectations. The only issue we had was with the schedule. The tour operator should know that there will be traffic on weekday mornings and account for it. Our driver arrived 15 minutes late, told us it would be a one-hour drive (which became 1.75 hours) and then did not leave the last stop in time and we were late arriving back to our cruise ship. Luckily, we did not miss the departure but it was a tense ride back.
Great experience on this excursion - Millett was an awesome guide who provided a ton of island history and nature information along the way. He cares deeply about the island and shares his knowledge and safety precautions in order to pass along to future generations. The walk thru the nature preserve is relatively short, the caves are small, but very cool to experience. Cave swimming was awesome, as well as the blue hole swim and cliff jumps. Adults and children all had a blast. The lunch and ice cream were tasty, and the secluded beach was perfect for snorkeling and swimming. It was a great way to spend a day in Bermuda!
Thank you Dale! The excursion was the best excursion of our trip & we did 3! He was so kind and cared about us! He told us about his childhood which made the experience special! the beaches so Beautiful & gorgeous! Served us ice cream and ginger beer which was such a great touch. I must say this is 100% worth the money! i highly recommend this. Larry & Melissa
This is an action packed adventure made even better if you are fortunate enough to have Ashley & Angel as your tour guides! They impart a literal wealth of knowledge all the while allowing their fun personalities to shine as you tour the “bermudaful” island. Both are native Bermudians who are genuinely excited to share their love of the island. The jungle experience is authentic as are the caves (be ready to bend & climb through narrow passages), the cliff jump in the Blue Hole is exhilarating (should you choose to do it) with gorgeous views, lunch at Elaina’s is delicious (choose the fish!) and snorkeling and pink sand at Cooper’s Island Nature Preserve is absolutely lovely. We enjoyed every moment of this tour and highly recommend to those in reasonably good health.
We had an amazing time with our tour guide Shawn. The excursion was exactly as described and the lunch was great if you like very flavorful fried fish with rice and peas! I agree with the comments that should in decent physical shape for the walking, swimming and exploring caves. This was a very memorable experience!
This was a simply fantastic tour and overall experience. The jungle, the caves, and the beach were all great. But Angel and Ashley made the trip. They were incredibly knowledgeable and funny. Ashley drove and made it a “Bermuda-ful” trip with her knowledge of the island. Angel knows everyone and is a full “Yellow Pages” of knowledge. The two together are just fun. We all agreed they should do The Amazing Race as a team. I strongly encourage anyone coming to Bermuda to take this tour and have those two as your guides.
Very easy to find the group. Everything was as advertised. You are on the bus for about 1 hour each way. Along the way, our guide Dale, provide a nice tour of Bermuda and the time flew by. The caves were interesting, no spoilers. Swimming inside a cave was just great. The cliff jumping was not as scary as you might think. Got some beach time with an excellent snorkeling spot. Had a nice dinner with ice cream and plenty to drink.
