This was a really bad experience. I spent $200+ plus for a guy to hem and haw on where to take me. I didn't really get any good pictures out of it, he didn't know where to take me to get good photos. In the end i had to buy a train ticket and he took me on trains and we ended up aborting a lot of attempts because he changed his mind and didn't know where to go. I just wanted some nice shots of the city (Berlin) and while the advertisement said they know the places to go, this did not happen. In the end he ended up leaving me on a train far away from the meeting site and i had to try to figure out on my own how to get back. Will not use this service again and can not recommend it.
We are sorry to hear the tour did not fully meet your expectations. We always aim to create experiences that are personal and tailored, and at the start of the session you shared a preference to avoid Berlin’s major monuments and iconic viewpoints. With that in mind, our photographer-guide created a custom route through quieter, less-visited areas, which can sometimes require the use of public transport. As working photographers, we are guided by the light and often adjust plans during a tour to make the best of the conditions. Any pauses or changes of direction were not hesitation, but consideration of where the strongest photographic opportunities might be. The tour concluded at Alexanderplatz, in the very centre of Berlin, with guidance on how to return. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us better communicate the different styles our tours can offer.
Very knowledgeable photographer. Took me to places that haven’t been photographed a 1000 times. As a portrait photographer having an experienced night photographer with knowledge of the city helped speed up the process of capturing some stunning images. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience with Gareth on a perfect summer evening in Berlin. I (the photographer) learnt a number of tips from him. We also visited a number of interesting sights and photographed them in a falling evening light.We finished up with som great night shots. For anyone interested in Photography this is a great way to spend a few hours in a wonderful city. While it is not a cheap tour it is well worth the expense.

Having done one Aperture tour in New York, I was keen to do one in another city, Berlin. Gareth was a very helpful and considerate tutor and gave me more confidence in taking photos of architecture. He suggested a visit to Hansa Platz , which we went to and I got some good shots there. I wouldn't have known to go there if he hadn't mentioned it.

I've take a few pictures in my past and went on a few photo tours. Most of them took me to some special places that I would never have gotten on my own and got me some nice shots. This one, actually taught me some new tricks. Was great to find some different areas of Berlin that I might not have gone to by myself but was even better to leave some new knowledge of how I can improve my photography.
We are glad we got to not only show you some interesting areas but we were also able to teach you a few new tricks at the same time.
It was an amazing experience with Gareth over the 6 hours. We covered plenty of ground across Berlin, covering both sights that I had seen earlier but from a slightly different angle. Being both a day and night tour, we were able to capture photos during daylight, dawn/dusk and later at night. Feedback on my photos were provided as we moved along the tour, along with recommendations on camera settings to use to get the best photo for the specific scene based on various factors. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for both a walking tour around Berlin but also want to take great photos.
