Our guide Miho and the driver was amazing, we had a great trip and felt we were in safe hands. Miho also answered a lot of questions about traditional Japanese living and showed us many pictures from a picture book she had. She took us through many shrines and explained how prayers are offered. I also think even if the visibility of the Mt is not super high I would still recommend this trip to explore the yamanashi area, the forest and lakes are very beautiful. The provided was also great Bento experience. Highly recommend it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that your day around Mt. Fuji and the lake region felt both enjoyable and enriching. It’s wonderful to know that Miho and our driver helped you feel comfortable throughout the journey, and that her explanations about daily traditions and shrine customs added something special to your visit. Even on days when the mountain isn’t fully visible, the landscapes of Yamanashi have their own charm, so we’re glad you were able to appreciate the forests, lakes, and cultural sites. We’re also happy to hear the bento lunch was a pleasant part of the day. Your warm recommendation truly means a lot to our team, and we hope to welcome you again on another trip.
A great trip. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Weather was mixed which impacted scenery. However, we enjoyed our day.
Thank you for taking the time to join our tour and share your impressions. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip and that our guide’s friendly and knowledgeable support helped make the day worthwhile. Although the changing weather affected some of the scenery, we appreciate your positive spirit and are happy the experience was still enjoyable for you. We hope to welcome you aboard again under clearer skies.
This was the loveliest tour. We were fortunate enough to have Azumi as our guide and Mr Akira as our driver. Azumi is a fantastic tour guide, with loads of knowledge about Mt Fuji, Oishi Park and Arakurayana Sengen park and Chureito Pagoda. As well as some really good advice on places to eat, drink and buy quality souvenirs. Mr Araki apparently has the reputation of being the best and safest tour bus driver in Tokyo and Japan. My wife and I would vouch for this. He drives so smoothly and conscientiously, you can't help but feel you're in the safest hands with him driving. Very impressed. We thought the bus was an auto initially, Mr Araki is so skilled. But it was actually a stick shift manual. Definitely a smooth operator. The tour was so good. Heading up Mt Fuji was so cool and we were given info on everything you could imagine. Azumi explained all of the area very well. Up the top (5th station) it was cold and blowing a bit, which we had prepared for. It was amazing to be on the mountain. The clouds had rolled in a little bit, but added to the experience and to the enormity of the mountain. A special treat on the way up and down, was the part in the road with corrugations setup so that it played a song, in the right tempo, if driven at the correct speed. Mr Akira did this perfectly. Lots of riders heading up and down the mountain. Hats off to them. After our descent we headed off for our lunch and wow, what a lunch. Pics included. An artistically arranged array of small dishes ranging from miso soup, seafood, vegetables and meat. Finished off with an absolutely delicious Lemon sherbert/ sorbet with Kiwi fruit and orange. It was a culinary delight. Perfect amount of food to charge the batteries for the afternoon activities. Next was a lovely little sojourn to Oishi Park. Beautiful flowers, right in front of Lake Kawaguchi and a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Really great photo opportunities. We were lucky enough to have a really cool looking cloud formation around the very top of Mt Fuji. In addition, there's a really amazing little shop called Oishitsumugi Dento Kogeikan, where we got some really high quality souvenirs. Well worth the look. Next stop, Arasukurayama Park and Chureito Pagoda. If you're up for a good bit of exercise, this is for you. There are different levels you can ascend to, via a flat pathway or stairs. The pagoda is stunning and one of the most recognisable in Japan, as it's in a lot of photos, prints and promotional media for the area. The first stop is a short walk from the bus drop off area, being the Torii gate. Another great photo opportunity and a great place for those that want a little bit of a challenge, but not too much. A lovely spot to just take in the view and relax. For those looking to get a bit more of a vigorous walk in, the next section up to the Pagoda is certainly worth it for the view and the exercise. You will see the iconic view with the Pagoda in the foreground, and Mt Fuji in the background. Truly a magnificent sight to take in. We lucked in and got a completely clear view of Mt Fuji. 🗻 Spectacular. For those wanting to push themselves a little bit further, very achievable for most levels of fitness, is the final look out/ observation deck. It's not much further up, but again, worth it for the views. The view of Mt Fuji was so clear. We appreciate how fortunate we were to catch the good weather. Then you head back to Tokyo, on a relaxing bus ride, taking in all of the sights Japan has to offer. There are many. With commentary and general conversations with Azumi, it made for a very relaxing return trip. My wife and I highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Azumi as your tour guide and Mr Akira as your driver. We can't thank you both enough for a wonderful and very enjoyable trip. Arigato gazeimasu. 🙏 GT and Ange. 😀
Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and detailed account of your day with us! It’s wonderful to hear how much you and your wife enjoyed the tour, from the climb up Mt. Fuji to the peaceful moments at Oishi Park and the rewarding views at Chureito Pagoda. We’re especially grateful for your kind words about Azumi and Mr. Araki. Clear views of Mt. Fuji are always a gift, and we’re glad the weather cooperated for you. Thank you again for choosing our tour and for recommending it so warmly. We hope your time in Japan continues to be filled with wonderful moments, and we’d be honored to welcome you back anytime.
Excellent Service. Very Professional. Wonderful Experience
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We’re very happy to hear you had such a positive experience with our service. Your kind words mean a lot to our team, and we hope to welcome you on board again during your next visit to Tokyo.
Great guide and driver. Very well organized and informative. I loved that we had the flexibility to cancel up to 24 hours in advance, which we considered as the forecast was unpredictable, but glad we didn’t because we had a wonderful time despite a little rain!!
My 86-year-old father had come from Osaka to visit me, but I was at work on weekdays. It's such a waste to leave them idle at home all day long after coming to Tokyo! So I sent him off on this tour alone. On an English tour, my father doesn't speak English at all, but he said, "Well, we'll figure it out!" And he forced himself to (laughs). We compared different tours, but I was physically worried about all-you-can-eat and walking too long. This is mainly for sightseeing, and I felt that the walking distance apart from the observatory was not very great, so I decided that my father would be able to participate in it without worry. As a result, our guide Aki-san's response was really great and very correct! Aki-san, who is from Osaka like my father, came home thrilled. The weather was nice and it was a treasured day for my father. Thank you so much Aki-san for giving my father such a warm welcome on behalf of me who couldn't be with him on business!
Our guide Atsushi was simply amazing. He provided us with a wealth of knowledge about Japan during our trip to Mt Fuji and he was even able to convince Fuji to show herself on a rainy, overcast day, albeit only for a short while, whilst at station 5. Food was also excellent, I had the veggie option, my son the normal set meal. T he Pagoda was worth all the steps and the gardens were full of flowers and nice aromas. Highly recommended!! Arigatogozaimas!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that your visit to Mt. Fuji was enjoyable and that the day offered a brief view of the mountain despite the rainy conditions. It’s also wonderful to know that the meal, the pagoda, and the surrounding gardens added to the overall experience. We’re especially pleased that Atsushi’s guidance and knowledge contributed positively to your trip. Your kind words about his support and explanations are greatly appreciated. We’re grateful you chose to join the tour and hope your future travels in Japan continue to be memorable.
