Belleville ist das berühmteste Street Art Viertel von Paris. Es ist seit den frühen 80er Jahren ein Künstlerziel. Sie lebten in zahlreichen Häusern, die im Laufe der Jahre zu Kunstgalerien, Kunststudios und Kunstgemeinschaften wurden. Es ist ein beliebter Ort für viele französische Künstler wie Nemo, Jérôme Mesnager oder Philippe Herard. Und Verbände wie Art Azoi oder Le M.U.R. bringen oft internationale Künstler in die Szene. Die Künstlergemeinschaft macht diese Gegend zu einer lebendigen und sich ständig verändernden und lädt die Einheimischen ein, an vielen lokalen Aktivitäten teilzunehmen, einschließlich Kunsthandwerk, Poesie oder Gartenarbeit. Während der Tour teilt Ihnen ein Künstler, der über mehr als sechs Jahre Erfahrung in diesem Thema verfügt, eine intime Geschichte darüber, wie die Nachbarschaft und ihre Straßenkunst zu dem geworden sind, was sie heute sind. This was an extremely entertaining tour, and it was a bonus to have an actual street artist leading the way. Sandrine was a lovely lady and was genuinely excited when she came across something she hadn't seen before! As well as knowing the history of street art in Paris and beyond, she was able to give us little insights into how street artists operate and point out the differing approaches of various artists to their craft. Mindful of her tour group in the heat, she brought a syphon of water to spray us in the face with as often as we wanted, which was a life saver! Towards the end, we were allowed to have a go on a wall with spray cans and some of Sandrine's stencils. Thoroughly recommended.
I highly recommend this experience. We had an amazing guide. Sandrine is truly an artist, with deep knowledge of street art and a rich understanding of its history, especially in the Belleville neighborhood. I really appreciated her approach—both insightful and engaging. It offers a completely different and refreshing vision of Paris. I recommend it 100%.
