We had a great time on the food tour! Melva was an awesome guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun. We tried some really good local food and learned a lot about San Pedro along the way. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend, and ask for Melva if you can!
Jamel was absolutely amazing. He took us some of the best hidden gems in San Pedro. I’d recommend not eating a full meal before touring to leave plenty of room to try all the nice dishes.
What a wonderful food tour!! Jamil was knowledgeable about the food, the restaurants and the area. Every restaurant we went to was, as they said - off the beaten path, and delicious. While on many food tours, you get "bites," on this tour we had so much food!! I was stuffed by the third restaurant.
Our tour guide Letzy was very knowledgeable and explained the food we were eating perfectly. That run cream was a 10/10.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Belizean Bites lunch food tour was awesome and worth the money. Definitely ask for Melva our guide - Melva was fabulous, entertaining, knowledgeable, and super friendly. You can go at your own pace depending on how many drinks you get, but our 8-people family tour lasted ~2 hours. Great food and perfect authentic experience.
Litzy was an amazing tour host! We enjoyed the history lesson that came along with each local restaurant that we visited. Everything was delicious!
Lots of great food samples.. best to avoid a normal to large breakfast on the lunch tour. You get a basic staples and the guide was very knowledgeable of its background and origins.
This was such a fun excursion for us and we were grateful to learn about the history and variety of Belizean cuisine while we were here in San Pedro. We loved having Melva as a host - so knowledgeable and interesting. Thank you!
Jamil, our tour guide, was amazing. he gave us great insight into some of the history and the culture. He explained how all the food was connected. He was also very personable and had a lot of funny teasers. All the food we tasted was delicious. It was a great tour, and we highly recommend this tour!
Everything about this experience was 10/10. Food was delicious with nice size portions to sample. Not too much walking and we received drinks at each stop. It was also my mom’s birthday so they surprised her with a brownie at the end of the tour. Highly recommend if you’re visiting San Pedro.
