Die Statue eines jungen Mannes und einer jungen Frau, die nach dem Himmel greifen, bietet eine gute Kulisse für Bilder. Corniche: Direkt am westlichen Ende der Corniche befinden sich mehrere natürliche Felsstrukturen / Bögen, die als Pigeon Rocks bekannt sind. Sie können auch eine Bootsfahrt um die Felsformationen und anscheinend durch einige Höhlen machen. Nationalmuseum: Die Geschichte des Nationalmuseums begann 1919 mit einer kleinen Gruppe antiker Artefakte, die Raymond Weill, ein im Libanon stationierter französischer Offizier, gesammelt hatte. Diese Objekte wurden in einem der Räume des Gebäudes der Deutschen Diakonissen in der Georges-Picot-Straße in Beirut ausgestellt. Diese Ausstellungshalle diente als temporäres Museum.

I arrived in Beirut in the morning, and after collecting me at the airport and dropping my bag off at the hotel, Fadil took me on a half day tour of Beirut. We walked to some interesting places and Fadil shared some information for each of them as well as history and current situation in Lebanon. Fadil was very flexible in arranging the half day tour on the same day as my arrival to Beirut and this allowed me to squeeze in a city tour in my packed itinerary. Much appreciated and I do recommend using Fadil's services as he is also easy to talk to and discuss customised tours.
