Reiseverlauf

My mom, sister, niece & me went on the small group afternoon tour to Beaujolais with Sebastien. From the first introduction with Sebastien, to the very end of the tour, he was extremely welcoming, full of information, personality and so much fun. We learned a ton about the Beaujolais wine region and got to taste a lot of delicious wine, from his family’s vineyard to another vineyard in the area. Loved the small group. It was us 4 ppl plus 3 others. Highly recommend this tour! Merci beaucoup for a great time!
Olivier was a fantastic guide for the tour to the Beaujolais wine area. Such beautiful countryside and gorgeous villages! He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as the wines, and he adjusted my tour for more sightseeing opportunities. He was very helpful, and I loved that! The villages are beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the wines I tasted. I highly recommend Olivier and his excellent tours.
Thank you Shirley ! Say hello to Sonoma for me and I wish you a Merry Christmas ! Olivier
Olivier is a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Our trip to the beautiful region featured spectacular views, a lovely walk through the medieval town of Oingt along with some great wine tastings.
Sébastien was phenomenal. So friendly and informative. We loved his family wine in Beaujolais, we could have stayed for days!!
The tour went through some beautiful small villages and the first tasting was at a village wine shop. We were all disappointed because we were expecting to be at wineries. The village was charming, but it’s quite a while before you get your first tasting and to just sit in the back room of a wine shop wasn’t a great experience. The winery visit was a little bit better, family farm in operation for centuries- with really cheap and affordable wines. However, our guide was not very engaging and the whole tour kind of felt like the minimum experience. It’s ok. I’m still glad we did it.
Bonjour LeAnne, I am Olivier the person who guide you and also the owner of the Kanpai Tours. Thank you very much for your feedback. When I guide, I always try to give the best and I remember very well, you were seated next to me during the all trip and probably you were the person I talked the most during the all tour... I know, you wanted a full day tour to the Rhone Valley and unfortunately this tour to Beaujolais was the only one available... We started the wine-tasting at 10:45 am which is a good time and the program was respected in all its points. I can understand that you were expecting a different experience (more wineries and less villages) but sincerey I find you quite "tough" with your comments. Olivier
We decided have a wine tour on our 4 days stay at Lyon. We didn’t have too much time so we looked for a half day tour. Oliveier was very nice from the first e-mail to the very end of our tour. His English is excellent and his knowledge and passion to wine is tremendous. It was nice to meet local winners and actually see the whole process of wine making.
It was such a fun tour, nobody should miss it. Olivier took us to private vineyards where the owner himself talked to us about the entire process from planting the grapes, to drinking the wine. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I recommend it to everyone.
Super recommended !!! In time, well planned tour. Visiting the home of wine producers is a great experience. Our guide is an incredible person, who explains in a very simple way everything related to the world of wine and in our language, Spanish. I knew other places that without Oliver I would never have known. He also recommended other places to visit. Thanks, I'm sure we'll be back.
The wine discovery tours offered by Kanpai Tours is an excelent opportunity to explore one of the most famous wine production regions of France. Mr. Olivier Delalande offers a varied menu of choices in a very comfortable way of moving around. We chose to do a day trip to the so-called "French Toscana", the Beaujolais region. We crossed smooth slopes enjoying beautiful views of vineyards, castles, small villages, while Mr. Olivier, with his multi-language ability (French, Spanish, English, Italian, German...) told us many tales about the region and the wine production. Included in this tour were two opportunities of wine tasting (we tasted 10 different types of wine, among them two "medaille d'or") and a delicious lunch in a typical restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour, in case you are passing by Lyon and region!
This was a fabulous tour with Olivier Delalande who not only took us to the wineries but also showed us the wonderful landscapes. He was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. I highly recommend this tour.
