Bayonne – Flüsse, Farben & erste Geschichten Wir beginnen den Tag in Bayonne, wo Flüsse auf bunte Straßen treffen und sich das baskische Leben sehr lebendig anfühlt. Während wir durch die Altstadt schlendern, erkunden wir die Kathedrale, überqueren Brücken und sprechen darüber, wie die baskische Kultur auf der Französischen Seite der Grenze Gestalt annahm. Es ist eine einfache, freundliche Einführung in die Region – und ein großartiger Ort, um sich zu orientieren (und Ihre Kamera herauszunehmen).
Biarritz – Meerblick & Mittagessen Als nächstes kommt Biarritz, wo der Atlantik die Show stiehlt. Wir schlendern entlang der Küste, genießen einen großen Meerblick und passieren den lebhaften Markt Les Halles. Dies ist Ihre Zeit : holen Sie sich Mittagessen, wenn etwas zu gut riecht, um es zu ignorieren, setzen Sie sich auf einen langen Kaffee am Meer oder einfach nur spazieren und beobachten Sie Surfer ihr Ding. Kein Terminstress hier – Biarritz soll in Ihrem eigenen Tempo genossen werden.
Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Piraten, Könige & ein süßes Ende Wir enden in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, einer Stadt mit mehr Geschichten, als man aufgrund ihrer Größe erwarten würde. Während wir durch die Straßen gehen, hören Sie Geschichten von Fischern, Korsaren und sogar einer königlichen Hochzeit, die die Stadt für immer verändert hat. Und weil jeder gute Tag ein süßes Ende verdient, machen wir Halt im Maison Adam, um die berühmte baskische Macaron zu probieren – klein, einfach und gefährlich gut.

Our tour to the French Basque country was a wonderful excursion from San Sebastián. Marlena is a great and personable tour guide and she is incredibly knowledgeable about the region. We especially enjoyed our time in Biarritz. Expect some, but not a ton, of free time at each destination. Overall a great tour particularly for those interested in regional cuisine or getting a taste of the French side of the Basque region.
Biarritz does have a way of stealing people's hearts, doesn't it? Great way to get a little taste of 3 French villages with very different personalities. Andoni was knowledgeable as he showed us around and also gave us free time to enjoy each town on our own.

Ir was a great trip, Martin, the tour gide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and extremely friendly.
We were lucky to get Mikel on a private tour for our family - he is deeply knowledgeable about the Basque region, its history and traditions. The tour was well planned, and we had enough time during the tour to experience the unique charm of each city. The entire Basque region has so much to offer, and we can’t wait to come back to continue learning about this beautiful area.

Such an amazing day. Was perfect for a one day trip around the local area and French Basque towns. Markel the host was excellent, he was very friendly, polite and made us feel at ease. He had so much knowledge of the history and local areas, there was never a dull moment and it felt like a great balance between seeing the sights, the culture and learning a lot! Would 100% recommend to anyone, singles, couples and small families/groups.

My 14 year old twins and I did this tour on 6/12 with Martin and it was incredible. Total group size was 5 people and Martin knew every city like the back of his hand! Bayonne, Biarritz and Saint Jean de Lux —such rich history he shared on each location with entertaining stories that brought the people and rich history to life! Martin grew up in San Sebastián and his family is multi generation wine makers — and he has traveled the world. He seems to love providing a fun and entertaining day learning about French while being very flexible and accommodating to the interests and culinary preferences of his participants. This was an amazing day—and I perhaps learned more History about France in the 8 hours of the adventure than 12 years of schooling in the U.S. You will go to THE most beautiful spots for photos—visual memories to have for a life time! GO ON THIS TOUR!! It is worth every penny—you deserve an amazing experience and book this tour and make sure Martin is your tour guide!

Wonderful and informative day touring Bayonne, Biarritz and St Jean. We enjoyed walking these beautiful towns and stopping at the chocolate shop Puyodebat and the bakery that serves the original Macaron - Maison Adam. We had a great day visiting the towns of Bayonne, Biarritz and St Jean de Luz. Martin was very informative and friendly and spoilt us with little treats to eat. The day was relaxing and we had time for lunch and shopping.
