Fahren Sie um den glitzernden See herum zum Oishi Park. Oishi Park ist die Heimat von Blumenfeldern, die sich wie ein Teppich am Seeufer ausbreiten. Sie werden auf jeden Fall Ihre Kamera herausholen wollen. Hier können Sie herrlich die frische Luft der japanischen Landschaft einatmen und die Aussicht genießen.
Kubota Itchiku war ein berühmter Künstler, der die traditionelle Textilfärbetechnik von Tsujigahana wiederbelebte. Tsujigahana blühte in der Muromachi-Zeit (1336-1573), geriet dann jedoch in Ungnade. In den 1930er Jahren wurde er von der Seidenfärbung fasziniert und widmete sein Leben der Beherrschung der Tsujigahana-Technik. An den Ufern von Kawaguchiko befindet sich ein ihm gewidmetes Museum mit einigen seiner schönsten Kimonokreationen. Sie können sein unvollendetes Meisterwerk "Symphony of Light" sehen, ein Stück bestehend aus 80 Kimonos, die zusammen ein Bild des Berges Fuji bilden. Interessant sind auch die Gebäude selbst sowie der Garten. Die Gebäude bestehen aus Korallen und Kalkstein aus Okinawa und sind nach Gaudi-Art gebaut. Die Gärten wurden von Itchiku Kubota selbst entworfen und erstrecken sich vom Eingangstor bis weit in die bewaldeten Hänge hinter den Museumsgebäuden. Ein Großteil des Gartens ist nicht rollstuhlgerecht, Sie können jedoch die Innenausstellungen des Museums sowie die Außenarchitektur genießen. (* Das Museum ist dienstags geschlossen, außer im Oktober / November. Bei Dienstagsführungen wird stattdessen der Kawaguchiko-Musikwald gezeigt.)
Ein kleines Dorf mit acht Quellen, gefüllt mit atemberaubend blauem Wasser und verehrt als die "Quellen der Götter", in denen sich die Pilger in den Quellen zu reinigen pflegten. Das Wasser kommt aus der Schneeschmelze vom Berg. Fuji selbst und wurde 2013 zusammen mit dem Fujisan zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt.

Keita guided our great day trip from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area. He was friendly and adaptable to my brother's needs (he uses a manual tilt 18"x 16" wheelchair). Kei was able to outline for us of the places that had wheelchair accessible bathrooms, and gave options of what we could access with a wheelchair. Alternatives were provided as my brother could not transfer out of his personal wheelchair to the museum wheelchair. When we were doubtful about getting down the steep ramp to the boat dock for the lake boat trip, Kei reassured us that the boat company staff had assisted others in a wheelchair and they successfully got him down and back up the ramp. Kei was knowledgeable about Mt. Fuji and surrounding area. The wheelchair accessible van was adequate for our needs (fit the wheelchair, and 3 passengers at the back). The tour did not include the boat trip price (1000 yen per ticket) nor lunch. We would recommend Kei for an accessible day trip to Mt. Fuji from Tokyo. Just let him know what your needs are and he can outline what your options are!

They had a wheelchair vehicle that could accommodate our son and met us at our hotel in Tokyo to take us to Mount Fuji for the day. Keita was a wonderful guide and was very friendly, helpful and informative. We had a wonderful day with a boat trip, tempura meal and various sites to explore. Highly recommended.

Great trip - I’m a fulltime wheelchair user and guide was very considerate and knowledgeable about what I could see and do. Even though Mt Fuji was covered by clouds the day we went it was still an awesome day and greeat to get out of Tokyo for the day.

Rie was absolutely an incredible host/guide. We had such a great experience and she and the driver took care of us at every step along the journey. She customized everything to our preferences and we enjoyed learning about the history of Japan and Mount Fuji. If you are in a wheelchair or have someone in your party who needs one, this is the tour for you. I would request Rie as she is the best!!!!
