Erkunden Sie mit einem erfahrenen Archäologen das geheime Bari inmitten verborgener Schätze aus der römischen, frühchristlichen und byzantinischen Zeit. Die Tour beginnt bei den Ausgrabungen der Via Traiana auf der Piazza del Ferrarese, einem kurzen Abschnitt der historischen Straße, die von den Römern im frühen 2. Jahrhundert n. Chr. erbaut wurde, bis zum Archäologischen Museum von Santa Scolastica. Die Tour geht weiter zur Kathedrale San Sabino, einem wertvollen Beispiel der apulischen Romanik, die in ihren unterirdischen Umgebungen einen äußerst eindrucksvollen archäologischen Rundgang namens Succorpo verbirgt. Die Tour endet in der imposanten und feierlichen Basilika San Nicola, Symbol der Verbindung zwischen Ost und West, in der die Reliquien des Heiligen aufbewahrt werden. Abhängig von den Öffnungszeiten und der Verfügbarkeit der Museumsbereiche können während der Tour zwei der folgenden archäologischen Stätten besichtigt werden: Palazzo Simi, Castello Svevo, Kryptabasilika, Kathedrale Succorpo, Museum Santa Scolastica.

Elegantes „Palasthaus“ aus dem 16. Jahrhundert mit zentralem Innenhof, Servicebereichen im Erdgeschoss und im Hauptgeschoss, die über eine Treppe erreichbar sind.
Archäologisches Gebiet, das 1960 ein Bodenmosaik mit einer interessanten Inschrift aus der frühchristlichen Zeit (5.-6. Jahrhundert) ans Tageslicht brachte.
Das mittelalterliche Benediktinerkloster Santa Scolastica mit der angrenzenden Bastion aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, heute renovierter Sitz des Archäologischen Museums der Metropole Bari, empfängt den Besucher am nördlichen Ende dieses aufgrund seiner Dichte und Vielfalt weit verbreiteten Museums Architektur-, Archäologie-, Kunst- und Historikergeschichte ist die Altstadt.

Imposante Festung aus dem 12. Jahrhundert, die heute als Museum dient. Am Rande des historischen Zentrums, in der Nähe des Hafenviertels und der Kathedrale gelegen, stellt es mit seiner Größe eines der wichtigsten und bekanntesten Baudenkmäler der Stadt dar.

A fantastic glimpse into the history of the old town of Bari from a very knowledgeable guide. The museums were so interesting made better by the narrative of an archeological expert. Would be happy to recommend

The archaeological tour was unavailable for the date I booked and as I didn’t have other times available they swapped it for the city walking tour and food tour. Our guide Ana was super friendly and very knowledgeable and informative and the whole experience was great! I felt that I learned a lot about Bari and each of the sites and the food included was delicious, great quality and ample Would definitely recommend!

Viviana gave a wonderful personalized tour. Her personal experience of Bari and her deep connection with the sites we saw were superlative. During our visit to Bari we encountered quite a bit of rain but that didn’t deter our guide Viviana! We opted for the Underground tour of Bari which included the Roman ruins as well as the inside of the most important churches. It was informative and you can tell that Viviana is very passionate about her city and the art and culture within!
