Der Lumpini Park ist eine innerstädtische Oase der Ruhe, der frischen Luft und des Schattens und bietet den Stadtbewohnern die perfekte Verbindung zur Natur. Der Park, der nach dem Geburtsort von Lord Buddha in Nepal benannt wurde, ist mehr als eine halbe Million Quadratmeter groß und beherbergt verschiedene Arten von Flora und Fauna. Historisch gesehen stammt es aus den 1920er Jahren und sollte ein Ausstellungszentrum für thailändisches Kunsthandwerk und Blumenpräsentationen sein. Obwohl sich diese ursprüngliche Vision nie erfüllt hat, hat sich der Lumpini Park im Laufe der Jahre zum beliebten Zentrum für Freizeitaktivitäten im Freien für Bangkoker entwickelt, die vor und nach Sonnenuntergang zusammenkommen, um eine Runde Joggen, leichtes Training, Aerobic und eine Vielzahl anderer Freizeitaktivitäten zu genießen Aktivitäten.

Das QSNCC wurde für Veranstaltungen, insbesondere Konferenzen und Ausstellungen, gebaut und hat zahlreiche internationale Veranstaltungen durchgeführt. Das QSNCC beherbergt auch den Plenarsaal, einen Theatersaal mit einer Kapazität von 6.000 Personen.

Eines der bestgehüteten Geheimnisse Bangkoks ist der Khlong Toey Fresh Market, ein chaotischer, weitläufiger Lebensmittelmarkt. Es ist der Traum eines Reisefotografen, der mit Markthändlern gefüllt ist, die lebende Produkte, frisches Obst und Gemüse sowie gekochte lokale Gerichte anbieten. Der Benjakiti Park, eine grüne Farbe unter den Hochhaushotels und Bürogebäuden von Sukhumvit, ist einer der beliebtesten Parks in Bangkok und bietet eine Oase für Jogger, Radfahrer und alle, die schnell aus der großen, schlechten Stadt fliehen möchten. Der Park wird von einem großen See dominiert, und die zwei getrennten Gassen um den Rand wurden speziell für getrenntes Radfahren und Joggen entworfen (was für viele aufgrund der unerbittlichen Abendhitze eher wie Wandern ist). Der Rand des Wassers wird auch von hübschen, gepflegten Pflanzen und farbenfrohen Blumen eingerahmt, die zur Ruhe beitragen.

A big compliment to Thailand Biking. Yesterday I made a very nice bike ride through Bangkok through this organization. Indicated at the time of booking that I would like an electric bike for health reasons. This is then also neatly arranged for me for an extra amount. Unfortunately, the bike failed regularly while cycling. Which made it a tough trip for me. Back at the organization, of course, the bike worked. But I still got some of my money back. To my surprise, I suddenly received the message from the tour guide of my tour this morning that I am getting even more compensation from the owner of the bicycle company. He was very sorry that this happened, so hence my big compliments. Great service. Thailand Biking thanks. Bastien Heemskerk
B was a great guide helping us navigate the traffic, roads and paths and telling us about where we were and sharing Thai customs and traditions and some of his story. Pace is quite slow as you walk around a market and stop in the parks and a local temple (more of a complete community centre) and in the poorer parts, but that’s fine as you can see more of what is happening in the real Thailand. Lunch was good but the restaurant we used had a lot of cats(not great for us)

It was a real pleasure to discover Bangkok, this wonderful city with a small 20km bike tour. Alexander is an extraordinary guide with a lot of humor. We laughed a lot. We also stopped by to try Thai boxing. Unfortunately, Alexander won. The lunch break was very simple but of impeccable quality in such a clean place. Enjoy discovering this wonderful city by bike while doing a little sport is not bad.

The tour guide was really nice and informative. The low rating here is for the bait and switch that this bike tour company pulled on us. I specifically booked this bike tour to see the Benjakitti Park and Lumpini park, among the other locations listed in the itinerary. We didn’t see any of the location listed on the itinerary. It was a complete disappointment. I would not recommend this tour company or this tour based on false advertising.

We had a truly exceptional experience on this cycle tour around the city. The tour guide was brilliant and really such a great guy. The pace was good and there were stops at good intervals. We saw parts of Bangkok that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen or experienced. Really grateful to have done this.

At Thailand Biking we made a half day tour through Bangkok. We were received very hospitably by André and his wonderful team. Before departure we got a good explanation about the traffic in Thailand and what we could expect from the tour. We cycled on busy roads and through a slum, stopped at a temple, went over a market with our bikes in hand and drove through a park. The conclusion with a delicious lunch was top. A great experience to discover Bangkok in this way.

We did a 3 hour bike ride through Thailand. Super fun and also impressive. Through back streets and past rickety huts we were taken by the Guide. You see Bangkok from a whole different side. Along the way you will get a bottle of water a number of times so you will be well taken care of. The Guide is enthusiastic and knows a lot about the places where we stop

Nice varied tour, straight through Bangkok, cycling through the market, through Lumpini Park, a nice Thai lunch, on a smoothly cycling bike, and a very good guide. Highly recommended !
