Nachdem Sie Ihren Reiseleiter in Bangkok getroffen haben, reisen Sie nach Ratchaburi, um den schwimmenden Markt von Damnoen Saduak zu besuchen, der seit über 150 Jahren in Betrieb ist. Genießen Sie eine Bootsfahrt durch Kanäle, die von Häusern und üppiger Vegetation umgeben sind, und beobachten Sie die Händler, die von ihren Booten aus Früchte, Snacks und Kunsthandwerk anbieten. Erkunden Sie den Markt zu Fuß, probieren Sie lokale Produkte und tauchen Sie ein in seine lebendige Atmosphäre. Besuchen Sie als Nächstes den Eisenbahnmarkt in Mae Klong, der sich auf aktiven Bahngleisen befindet. Wir verlassen die Stadt Bangkok und fahren etwa 1,5 Stunden auf der Straße. bis Sie die kleine Stadt Mae Klong erreichen, um den Zugmarkt zu besichtigen.
Hier nehmen wir ein typisches Boot, um zum Markt zu fahren, und reisen dabei entlang der Kanäle (Klongs auf Thai). Wir werden Zeuge, wie die Einheimischen alles Mögliche von Boot zu Boot kaufen und verkaufen: Gewürze, Obst und Gemüse, Kunsthandwerk, Souvenirs… Sie haben freie Zeit, die verwinkelten Gassen zu erkunden, die lokalen Produkte zu genießen, in der Umgebung umherzuwandern und diesen fantastischen Ort in aller Ruhe zu genießen, bevor Sie ins pulsierende Bangkok zurückkehren.
Auf dem schwimmenden Markt von Damnoen Saduak können Sie einen traditionellen schwimmenden Markt erleben, auf dem einheimische Händler von kleinen Booten aus frisches Obst, typische Speisen und Kunsthandwerk anbieten. Während der Tour erleben Sie eine farbenfrohe und dynamische Atmosphäre, lernen etwas über den Alltag in Thailand und machen einzigartige Fotos von den mit Booten gefüllten Kanälen und der lokalen Kultur.
Anschließend setzten wir unsere Reise in die thailändische Provinz Ratchaburi fort, um den Eisenbahnmarkt zu besuchen.

Jenny the tour guide was amazing but the train ride could have happened on the bus. Hella hot for no reason. We only got to spend 10 mins at the train station couldn't really shop. The floating market was better but them old ladies be aggressive. Tiger bomb lady wasn't trying to let me leave. I was like I don't want it, it stank.

Our tour guide Tammy was excellent and was great with our children. She had a quick Thai language lesson prepared for the ride to the markets. We learned a lot and got to experience the famous railroad market. She reserved seats for us at a soda / coffee shop that was within inches of the train!

Jenny, our tour guide, is a superstar. She really took care of us. She got us a good view of the train at the Maeklong Railway Market. And when we got back to Bangkok, she helped us get the correct subway line back to our hotel. After helping us, I saw her get a taxi for another family. Highly recommend!

The Floating Market was too faraway from Bangkok, the Canoe shopping experience was too short considering the time travel in the bus ! the prices are higher compared to other shopping centres in Thailand. The Railway Market is a must visit place in Bangkok even it is very crowded still an exceptional destination, specially when it was announced that train is approaching and shoppers must move their belongings away , tourists should mind the gab and turn back behind the red line. Sam the Guide, made our day with his sense of humour, his knowledge and ability to tell the history in a funny way, his passion and his generosity.

This was a great day trip out of the city to see the floating market and train market! We were taken on a large tour bus with wonderful A/C to keep us cool. Our guide, Sam, was so nice and gave us a lot of information about Thailand and their culture. The markets are definitely for tourists, but such a cool thing to see. I highly recommend doing this if you come to Bangkok!

Monkey Travel, specifically our guide, Jeed, was phenomenal. His expertise, care, thoughtfulness was the best part of this experience. End of the day, this was too long of an excursion for a subpar experience. If these two markets were closer to Bangkok, maybe I’d recommend checking them out. But the authenticity of these markets were sullied by wannabe travel influencers capturing their picture perfect moment. We were picked up at the hotel at 8am, didn’t leave the meeting point until 9:15 and then didn’t get back to the meeting point until 5pm. The majority of the long day was spent in the transportation vehicle. They also do not offer the hotel drop off after the tour so we had to figure that out on our own. Due to this I might recommend the later start to miss the horrible rush hour traffic on the way back into the city. I want to reiterate that the travel company was great, this just was not worth the $ and time spent. I would not recommend to a friend.
