Banana Beach Schnorchelabenteuer: Ein Tag im Paradies

It’s definitely worth booking for the snorkeling on the other side of the island. There is some snorkeling to be done on the front beach, where you arrive, however, what’s around the back is deeper water & more to see. There is 2 areas around the back but due to some wind, we were only taken to 1. I appreciated the judgement call made by the staff - it meant we got 1 hour in good conditions instead of being split between a good option and a terrible one. We had lunch included but there is a restaurant & bar on the island for any extras (like coffee) you may want to buy. The snorkeling equipment included does not include flippers, although they can be hired for an extra fee if you prefer. Overall we had a lovely day!

Our trip to Banana Beach was the highlight of our stay in Phuket! The beach itself is absolutely stunning — soft white sand, clear turquoise water, and a peaceful, laid-back vibe. The snorkeling was fantastic, with plenty of colorful fish and coral to see just a short swim from shore. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well-organized from pickup to drop-off.

Very nice trip. Banana beach has clear blue water and white sand. It is possible to do various water sports activities there, buy food, drinks and ice cream. There are also options for massage. There was a decent amount of people when we were there in April. This is outside the main season. I suspect that there can be a lot of people there in the high season. The guides were good, pleasant and spoke good English. The only thing worth noting is that it is somewhat expensive. For example, we bought 2 scoops of ice for 300bht and a drink (large) for 420bht. All in all, very good.

The guides are very friendly and welcoming. The speedboat ride is rather unpleasant. At full speed from the pier to the island. In our boat, we sat so low that we couldn't see anything and some people felt a little sick. The island itself is very beautiful. However, the mass influx of tourists from all over the world means that there is a lot of dirt and rubbish lying around, especially on the side corners of the sunbathing area. The small motorboats make a lot of noise all day and it always smells of exhaust fumes. Snorkelling on the back of the island is not recommended because of jellyfish. On the beach side, you have to be extremely careful of sea urchins. There isn't really much to see because a lot of the seabed has already been destroyed. The promised "clear kayak" ride was not allowed at first because the waves were too strong, and then the water level was too low. Towards the afternoon, it became a little quieter, but all in all, there are better places to visit.

Yesterday we went to banana beach with snorkle and Kayak package. The tour opporators were fantastic. The resturant staff were friendly, kind and even offered us extra food as it was avaliable. In Thailand if you treat staff with kindness and respect you recieve the same back 10 fold. The snorkeling was a rough day on the ocean due to weather but the tour specialists, took us to 3 doffrent location to give us the best experience possible. We saw lots of sea life and were safe with guide s in the water ready to assist anyone in need. My wife went para-sailing and the experience was the best I've witness visiting Thailand on several occasions. The staff were professional, and they guided the boat insuring she got to see lots of the special view that make the islands so special. I've been to all the other islands many times But Koh Hey - Banana Beach is the gem I some how missed. SAME SAME BUT BETTER.

Loved every part of it. Just the snorkelling off the boat ended too quickly due to staying on the beach half an hour more than was planned initially. Otherwise everyone really enjoyed. Banana beach itself is pretty awesome for snorkelling too. Nice restrooms, facilities, restaurant, shower, fins for rent, lovely birds.

Great value for money, Banana beach is beautiful but (probably because of the season and pandemic impact) a number of activities weren’t open or were rundown. The trip itself was great, lunch was as expected, soft drinks and fruit were provided on the boat and I was impressed with what we got. Snorkelling was good but because of the weather we couldn’t see much - out of the operators control though! Overall we had a fun day, despite the rain, and I imagine on a beautifully hot day the beach is amazing. Transport pick up and drop off was exceptionally smooth too. I’d go again!

We did this day trip from our hotel at Kata Noi. We were picked up in a shared mini bus with some delays because other travellers (not the operator) were running late at their hotel. There were no masks or social distancing in the mini bus or on the crowded transport to get to the boat. Once at the Island the the parasailing was great. The lunch included exceeded expectations and was lovely. It was somewhat ruined by the insistence on cranking loud music like a night club where our sun chairs were which meant we couldn’t read a book or relax. Despite asking many times for them to turn it down they wouldn’t. There were also explicit lyrics which meant we had to field colourful questions from our children about inappropriate phrases only Doja Cat could come up with…

We booked this Cruise through Phuket All Tours . Included was Hotel Pickup & Drop off from our Patong Hotel . We found that their communication was excellent and when we changed accomodation at the last minute they were very quick to alter the Pick up . We were picked up on time at 1 pm in a Mini Bus and the Bus also made a few other Pick ups. We were all then Driven to a Marina at the Northern End of Phuket Island near the Aiport where we Boarded the June Bahtra , This is a large Junk Boat , we were offered Soft Drinks or Water & Biscuits or you could purchase Beer for 90 Baht, as we then began our Cruise. The Weather was Perfect . The Sea was very Calm . After an hour of cruising we dropped Anchor near an Island and we were ferried ashore where we could spend some time Swimming or Walking the Beach or having a Beer at a number of small Beach Bars . There were Toilet Facilities which were very over priced at 20 Baht . Once back on Board we began cruising again and the smell of delicious food was wafting up from the Galley . We had a delicious Prawn Tom Yum Soup . Not too spicy . There was Spring Rolls and other bite size snacks . The Main Courses were a good number of Thai dishes including Fish & Chicken also Rice . The Meal finished with fresh Fruit . The Big Sail was set as a light Breeze got up and the Engine cut and we were under Sail as the Sun began to Set . It was Dark when we arrived back at the Marina for our transfer back to our Hotel . What a great Day .

The marina is nice and tranquil. Beautiful views watching the sunset, peaceful and relaxing too. The service was good and thoroughly enjoyed the food.
