Offroad-Ausflug mit Geländewagen, bei dem Sie die höchsten Punkte der Stadt erreichen und so einen atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf El Calafate und den Lago Argentino genießen können. Zwei Abfahrten täglich: um 10:00 Uhr mit Mittagessen oder um 14:30 Uhr mit Imbiss Halbtagesausflug.

Reiseverlauf
Die Exkursion beginnt mit der Abholung an den Hotels und führt mit dem Fahrzeug weiter zum Huyliche-Hügel, wobei man 35 Kilometer entlang der Hügelkette hinter dem Dorf hinauffährt. Von dort aus bringt Sie der Geländewagen auf eine Höhe von 900 Metern, in eine jahrtausendealte Landschaft und zu den schönsten Aussichtspunkten des Huylliche-Hügels. Von dort aus gelangen Sie zu einem spektakulären Aussichtspunkt, von dem aus Sie die Stadt El Calafate und den Hauptteil des argentinischen Sees sehen können, umgeben von der mystischen patagonischen Steppe. Man findet hier eine Vielzahl von Fossilien, und bei klarem Wetter kann man den Mount Fitz Roy sehen; außerdem kann man Andenkondore aus nächster Nähe beobachten. Die Aussicht von dort ist unvergesslich: Man sieht die Anden, die Mündung des nördlichen Arms des argentinischen Sees und entdeckt eine Gletscherlandschaft. Die Fahrt mit dem Geländewagen führt weiter bis auf 1060 Meter Höhe, wo sich das Labyrinth aus Gesteinsformationen aus der Kreidezeit befindet, in dessen Wänden kleine Fossilien eingebettet sind.
Anschließend begeben wir uns zu unserer Hütte, die an einem strategisch günstigen, windgeschützten Ort liegt – eine typische Berghütte, in der wir einen Imbiss oder ein Mittagessen anbieten (je nach gewählter Option). Nach drei Stunden voller geologischer und abenteuerlicher Erlebnisse erreichen Sie die Stadt El Calafate.

Great walk. Panoramic view of the city. We saw the vegetation from close. The included lunch was perfect. We did with Patagonia Extreme. The guides Ezekiel and Jeremiah were great.

South Road within the Calafate area seem to supply the best trucks and vehicles. 4WD arrived right on time at my hotel and tour guide was Ruben. English was not perfect but good enough for conversations. He knew the private property and provided a greatv in-depth knowledge of the rock formations and glacial activity. Be warned .. bumpy tracks but that is 4WD driving. Stunning views at the top of the mountain of Calafate and the lakes. Weather was changeable and it did rain for a whole. Then back to the centre for a delicious lunch. I would really recommend this trip to anyone.

This was a really fun experience to see sights that we wouldn't have otherwise been able to access. While I was a little nervous when we first started driving (lots of bumps--it's off roading, of course) the driver was amazing and I felt perfectly safe. Our guide was wonderful, too, and did a good job explaining about the history and geography despite the microphone not working for him. Lunch was delicious and and filling! I would recommend!

I loved this trip in a beast of a 4x4. So informative about the early days of El Calafate too. Views were breathtaking and the ‘snack’ was anything but a snack….. it was a FULL afternoon tea with cakes, beverages and more on the estancia where I got to see horses and a beautiful calf. Thanks to our guide and super professional driver! Highly recommend

Most excursions are full day trips in CALAFATE, but this was the perfect half day excursion. The views were spectacular. And our host was very personable.

Ruben, our guide, made this adventure so enjoyable. He truly loves all his guests. We had a fun trip up the mountain with great views of El Calafate, Lago Argentino, and the snow-covered Andes. Then he made us a tasty lunch before heading back down the mountain to our hotel. We highly recommend this tour.

We take the 4x4 excursion to Balconies of El Calafate, Cerro Huyliche and Concreciones ("Mexican Hats") directly through the Service Provider, the Mil Outdoor Patagonia Enterprise. Good walk of three hours duration, which in our case allowed us to take advantage of the afternoon of the day of arrival (also recommended to take advantage of the morning of the day of departure). Driver Guillermo was a good driver of the vehicle and a friendly guide who not only provided interesting data from this ride but also very useful information for other excursions in the area. In total the group was composed of seven adults and we had a good time. I would not recommend this walk for families with children, I think the creatures may find it somewhat heavy.

Beautiful experience! It was our second visit to El calafate and with this excursion we found it even more beautiful than the first time. The landscapes and views are unforgettable. The driver and guide was excellent, with lots of information about the area, which he spoke about with passion... and transmitted it. We totally recommend to take this walk with All patagonia, you will not regret it.
