Er wird "Risky Market" genannt, weil es eine Zugstrecke gibt, die direkt durch die Mitte des Marktes verläuft. Buchstäblich innerhalb von Sekunden nach der Zugfahrt durch den Markt müssen Verkäufer ihre Waren und sich selbst aus dem Weg räumen. Die präzisen Timings und Bewegungen aller Beteiligten sind faszinierend mitzuerleben. Der zweite Markt auf dieser Route ist der schwimmende Markt in Damnoen Saduak. Obwohl es authentisch ist und immer noch von Einheimischen genutzt wird, ist es aufgrund seiner Popularität bei Touristen sehr beliebt geworden. Der Maeklong Railway Market ist ein traditioneller thailändischer Markt, auf dem frisches Gemüse, Lebensmittel und Obst verkauft werden. Das Besondere am Markt ist, dass er einen Teil einer Eisenbahnlinie einnimmt. Ein paar Mal am Tag fährt ein Zug direkt durch den Markt. Ein paar Minuten bevor der Zug kommt, senken die Verkäufer ihre Regenschirme und bringen einen Teil ihrer Produkte von den Gleisen weg. Einige bleiben auf dem Boden liegen, und der Zug fährt direkt über ihnen vorbei. Erstaunlicherweise wird nichts beschädigt oder zerbrochen, und sobald der Zug fährt, bewegen die Verkäufer ihre Waren zurück auf die Gleise und fahren wie gewohnt fort (bis der nächste Zug ankommt).
Berühmt für seine touristenfreundlichen schwimmenden Märkte ist Damnoen Saduak derjenige, den Sie in der Touristenliteratur über Thailand finden werden. Nehmen Sie Ihre Kamera mit, um den Fluss voller Holzboote zu sehen, die mit Obst und Gemüse überlaufen, das sie an Menschen verkaufen, die an Land stehen. Ignore the negative reviews. This tour was absolutely worth it and ended up being one of the best tours we’ve ever taken! The company was very clear about everything from the beginning. A lot of the complaints in the reviews seem to come from people who didn’t read the instructions or expectations carefully. We knew exactly what to expect, and everything was delivered as promised. Our tour guide, Hady, was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond throughout the entire day. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. His energy, enthusiasm, and attention to the group made the tour even more enjoyable. The tour itself was incredible, well organized, fun, and memorable from start to finish. The only thing worth mentioning is that while the itinerary lists the end time as 2:00 PM, that’s when the activities end. You still need to account for the drive back, which brought us closer to 4:00 PM because of traffic. That said, the return trip was actually quicker than we expected and wasn’t an issue at all. Overall, this was an excellent experience and one I would absolutely do again. I would take this tour 10 more times and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Travel.to and from this location consumes.your whole day. Plus.the noise.and air pollution from long tail.biats is terrible. Find something else to do.

It was a good experience but it had become to touristy. Way too many people and a little hard to enjoy. But still had a good time with the experience. :-)

It was very touristic and the train ride was only interesting the last 5 minutes. A lot of souvenir vendors at the floating market. Don't forget to bargain.

Going on the boat rides for it was fun and would do it again. Very creative how there's shops on boats to.

Interesting day yesterday. This tour has a lot if driving. Our van was not the most comfortable (older van model). Most if us had stiff muscles by the end of the day. The boat ride was also shorter (about 10 minutes) than what we were told (20-25 minutes). It took about 3h30 to get back to our hotel.
