Aveiro, Costa Nova Beach und Moliceiro Boat, halbtags ab Coimbra
Beschreibung
Nachdem wir die Teilnehmer in Coimbra abgeholt haben, fahren wir ins weniger als eine Stunde entfernte Aveiro. Wir beginnen an Bord eines der traditionellen Moliceiros-Boote, die früher zum Fang von "Moliço" und zum Transport von Algen und Salz verwendet wurden. Nach dem Einsteigen machen wir eine 45-minütige Fahrt durch die städtischen Kanäle, die die als „portugiesisches Venedig“ bekannte Stadt charakterisieren und teilen. Dann fahren wir nach Praia da Barra, wo wir die Mündung des Flusses Vouga und die Mündung des Aveiro kennenlernen, die von starken Mauern begrenzt werden, wodurch ein wunderschöner Strand ohne Wellen entstand, der bei Familien sehr beliebt ist. Wir können auch den Leuchtturm von Aveiro schätzen. Nach dem Besuch geht es weiter nach Costa Nova, einem der schönsten Strände Portugals und auch mit dem ursprünglichsten Viertel aufgrund der mit verschiedenfarbigen Streifen bemalten Häuser, die an die Ria grenzen. Nachdem wir alles genossen haben, was Costa Nova zu bieten hat, kehren wir nach Coimbra zurück und beenden die Tour.

Despite takong this tour on a rainy October day, we enjoyed our introduction to Aveiro and the nearby beach town. Xavier is a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide who made sure we had the best experience possible. From a tasty Portuguese bakery treat to the canal tour around this sweet town, all was enjoyable. We can see why this is a popular summer vacation spot.

Pedro was a fantastic guide and the tour was wonderful! Aveiro is a very lovely town and the boat trip was the perfect way to see it and learn more history. The beach and lighthouse at Barra were very special to see. And the striped colorful houses and restaurants of Costa Nova were as charming as a town could possibly be!! Loved it!! Pedro was so extremely knowledgeable about all of Portugal and shared great insight on culture, history, food and wine, and tips for tourists. He deserves 10 stars!!

Costa Nova is a beach in Aveiro, with typical little houses with very bright colors, very nice to see. The beach is wide, open and windy and the sea is very rough and dangerous and we were told that the water is very cold. It is full of apartments for rent in the summer. You eat tripe with chocolate at little stands, it's like a pancake but thicker. The millers ride in Aveiro is a tour of the canals and you can do it but it doesn't offer much.

We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend the half-day trip from Coimbra to the beautiful coastal city of Aveira. Gliding through the network of canals of the city on a traditional Moliceiro boat was relaxing and delightful. Our personable and knowledgeable guide, Xavier, took us to the vibrant main square of the old town of Aveira and the beautiful Barra and Costa Nova beaches. The colourful striped houses in Costa Nova are unique and reminiscent of the brightly painted houses in St. John’s, Newfoundland in Canada. Ellen and Ryan, Canada

Great half day tour to lovely Aveiro, and Costa Nova. Both charming places. The Costa Nova houses are a must see, so bright and colorful. The guide was very good and was engaging and personable. He explained all the history & places of interest along the way. Certainly a good way to see such places.

We had a very nice morning tour from Coimbra. Our guide was Xavier. He picked us up and dropped us off at our front door which was very helpful. He shared a lot of information about the area. The Moliceiro boat ride was very pleasant. We stopped at 2 beaches: Barra and Costa Nova, a good place for vacation. We liked the local pastry with a rich filling that Xavier offered at the end of our tour. Thank you, Xavier.
