This is a really interesting tour which b be a you a chance to see some of the countryside cut my the train trip advisor n additional to the quintessential Japan you experience at the shrines. Well worth doing this tour.
Our tour guide was Noby Kono. He was a wonderful guide for our Nikko experience. We saw all the wonderful sights and also learned a lot of history along the way. It was nice to have someone with us to select a great lunch option and also provide recommendations on what we should do and how to treat each sight respectfully. I highly recommend this experience and guide!!!
Angela-san, Thank you for joining our tour! Also thank you for the great comments. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the tour. We walked a lot (to the Ieyasu’s grave). Also could you walk to your hotel without any problems? I hope you could enjoy Japan. Best Regards, Kono.
Our guide, Yumiko Sano, was very professional and gave us a great tour of Nikko. A nice town and beautiful sights. Yumiko made it an easy and pleasant experience. She was sweet and very patient with us.
Thank you for joining our tour! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the day.
Excellent tour. The tour guide is very friendly, enthusiastic, funny, and humble. We have great experience in Nikko with various historical stories. We can learn a lot of messages from the old generation. Live slowly!
Thank you for your comment. I’m really happy that people like you from other countries are impressed by the good old and beautiful Japan. Please come visit Japan again. Best Regards, Yumiko Sano
It was amazing made even more amazing by my tour guide. This was a last minute decision and wasn’t sure if it would happen because of COVID. I knew nothing about NIKKO and Yumiko Sano taught me so much history. It was so interesting. She also asked if I wanted to see some beautiful waterfalls. This trip was priceless and I will definitely be back and will request for Yumi.
This is the first negative review I have on a viator tour. For this particular tour I had to pay for all train tickets, entrance tickets for myself and guide, also paid for his lunch. That puts all the extra charge at over 50% of what I already paid for the tour. There was nothing that I could not have done for myself. The same package can be bought at Asakusa station(where I purchased for myself and the guide). The guide just walk us around the site. We had to take subway with the guide( I paid for his fare) during Tokyo rush hour in the morning after he met us. Faced the same rush upon our return. Viator should not have marketed this tour where there too much was not included. Save yourself lots of money and just buy the package at Asakua station yourself.
This tour is well organized and if you like temples (Nikko is al about that) this tour is a good spot for climb very nice temples in a suggestive environment! The temples are inside a nice forest and this provide them a magic atmosphere :-) Be ready do climb a lot of steps!
Completing the trip to Japan,my wife and I decided to visit Nikko. With great pleasure we met our guide Haruyoshi Shoji. In addition to excellent knowledge of culture and history of Japan,Haruyoshi san has excellent acting talent.A well-delivered speech,a story in faces and bright colors about the eventful history of a beautiful country,I think will not leave anyone indifferent. In addition, Haruyoshi san is very responsive to any requests of tourists.I want to Express my gratitude for the help of Haruyoshi san in my personal question.Think of any tourist who seek help from Haruyoshi Shoji, will not wait a second of disappointment, but rather will be a sea of positive emotions.
